    摘要: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a spacer having a small absolute value of the temperature coefficient of resistance, the spacer being excellent in suppressing a thermal runaway, the spacer being excellent in voltage endurance so as not to cause an abnormal discharge even if a high voltage of over 10 kV is applied, the spacer being unlikely to cause deflection of an electron beam, and a flat panel display device provided with this spacer. The spacer of the flat panel display device includes, on the surface of a glass substrate, a thin film that comprises substances exhibiting metal-like electrical conductivity dispersed in an oxide matrix exhibiting semiconductor-like electrical conductivity. Alternatively, the spacer includes, on the surface of a glass substrate, a particle-dispersed oxide thin film that comprises substances exhibiting metal-like electrical conductivity dispersed in an oxide matrix, and the spacer further includes, on top of this film, an oxide thin film composed of an oxide exhibiting semiconductor-like electrical conductivity.

    摘要: In a display in which two substrates are disposed facing each other with the inner pressure reduced, spacers are used to keep the distance between the two substrates. The spacers are fixed to the substrates using a fixing material obtained by hardening a paste-like adhesive. By transferring paste to each of the spacers, drying the paste applied to the spacer, and applying paste to the dried paste, the amount of paste to be attached to the spacer can be controlled.

    摘要: An image display device includes a vacuum envelope which is constituted of a rectangular back substrate which arranges electron sources in the vicinity of intersecting portions of image signal electrodes and scanning signal electrodes, a rectangular face substrate which includes phosphor layers and anodes, and a frame body which is connected to peripheral regions of the respective substrates. A frame width size of a frame body is set such that the long-side frame width is larger than the short-side frame width thus realizing the miniaturization and the reduction of weight of the image display device.

    摘要: The present invention provides an image display device which can realize the recycling at a low cost by shortening a disassembling time of a face substrate and a back substrate. In a support frame which is bonded and fixed to a face substrate and a back substrate by way of sealing materials respectively, a cut portion whose spatial region expands from the inside to the outside is integrally formed on an end surface at a corner portion thereof. To outer portions of the cut portions, the sealing materials 10a, 10b are not fixed.
