摘要: Methods and apparatus for graphics processing, such as producing a smooth transition between images of different dynamic ranges (e.g., Standard Dynamic Range (SDR) images and High Dynamic Range (HDR) images). An example method generally includes using a high frame rate during a transition period to allow properties of images to incrementally vary. The properties may include brightness (i.e., luminance), color gamut, tone mapping, among others. For example, during the transition period, a subset of HDR images are displayed at a second frame rate (e.g., 120 Hz) higher than a frame rate based on the HDR images (e.g., 30 Hz). Simultaneously, a brightness level (as well as other aspects) of the display panel is adjusted incrementally from an SDR brightness level to an HDR brightness level during the transition time period over the subset of the HDR images.

A display device of the present disclosure includes a display panel including a plurality of pixel regions, a gate driver configured to sequentially supply light emission control signals to horizontal lines of the display panel, a data driver configured to supply a data signal corrected by a source voltage to the display panel, and a dimming controller configured to control whether to gradually change a frame frequency and gamma correction data according to a duty ratio of the light emission control signal.

摘要: The application provides a gamma correction method for a display panel, a gamma correction apparatus, and a display apparatus. According to whether a refresh rate of an image signal exceeds a predetermined refresh rate, choosing to use a different gamma correction curve. Therefore, when the display panel is switched from a high refresh rate to a low refresh rate, the display brightness of the display panel can be quickly adjusted, that is, the display brightness of the display panel can keep constant to avoid flicker phenomenon, and the storing space of the register is saved.

The electronic apparatus includes a display; an outer frame to house the display; an illuminance sensor which detects a sensing value used to determine at least one of illuminance and color temperature of an external light; a memory which stores a background image, which is an image of an area behind the electronic apparatus; and a processor, which generates a content screen comprising an object layer including at least one graphic object and a background image layer including the background image. The display displays the content screen and the processor may correct the background image or provide an image effect based on the sensed values.

摘要: An electroluminescent (EL) display apparatus and method of control are provided. A display screen includes gate signal lines which intersect source signal lines. A pixel provided with an EL device corresponds to each intersection of the gate and source signal lines. A driving transistor is provided for each pixel to supply a current to the EL device. A first switch transistor is provided on a current path through which the current is supplied to the EL device. A gate driver circuit is connected to the gate signal lines. The gate driver circuit includes a shift register circuit, and outputs a select or non-select signal for the gate signal lines. The gate driver circuit turns the first switch transistor on and off to control a duty ratio of the display screen. The duty ratio is controlled by a start pulse fed to the shift register circuit.

摘要: An electroluminescent (EL) display apparatus and method are provided. A display screen includes pixels. A pixel circuit of each of pixel includes, in part: a first switch transistor on a path through which current flows from a power line through a driving transistor to an EL device; a second switch transistor to supply an image signal to the driving transistor; and a third switch transistor for initially resetting the pixel circuit before the second switch transistor supplies the image signal. A gate terminal of the first switch transistor is connected to a first gate driver circuit. Gate terminals of the second and third switch transistors are connected to a second gate driver circuit, which includes a second gate signal line connected to both the gate terminal of the second switch transistor of a Nth row and the gate terminal of the third switch transistor of a (N+1)th row.
