    摘要: A reinforcement rib is provided from surroundings of a boss section continuously extending towards a lower-end portion thereof, and the boss section is provided substantially perpendicular to a flat section of the reinforcement rib; this improves the strength of the pedal arm as appropriate including the surroundings of the boss section on which a large load is applied at the time of depressing operation, and thus makes it possible to achieve reduction in weight and costs by thickness reduction while securing a required strength. Although the pedal arm is of a flat plate shape, providing a front side flange and a rear side flange allows for forming a front side recess and a rear side recess between the reinforcement rib and the respective front side flange and rear side flange.

    摘要: A connecting opening portion is provided at the portion that is an outer circumferential portion of a hollow-structured operating pedal and is connected to connecting links inside the connecting opening portion, a reinforcing member having a U-shaped section is integrally weld-joined so as to open outward. End portions of the connecting links are inserted inside the reinforcing member, and are relatively pivotablly connected by a first link pin. Accordingly, the rigidity of the operating pedal is improved, and at the same time, the stress concentration is relieved, whereby buckling and deformation are suppressed. As a result, the plate thickness of the hollow-structured operating pedal can be kept small to minimize the weight thereof, and also, the width dimension of the operating pedal in the vehicle fore and aft direction can be reduced to achieve a compact size.

A swing plate having a mounting face and upper arm with guide slot is pivotally interconnected to a mounting bracket upper arm at a first axis by a pivot pin disposed within the swing plate guide slot, and the swing plate upper end has a first degree of freedom. An electronically controlled pedal arm assembly is mounted on the swing plate. A screw member connected to a drive apparatus has an end connected to the swing plate and operatively connected to the mounting bracket slot at the second axis, and the swing plate lower end has a second degree of freedom that is greater than the first. Activation of the drive apparatus displaces the screw member to pivotally constrain movement of the swing plate about the first axis and the second axis.

    摘要: When the operating pedal and the pivot member are connected by the connecting links, roll caulking is performed on the tip portions of the shafts of the connecting pins, with the shafts passing through the connecting pin through holes of the connecting links, and also through the metal bush of the operating pedal or the metal bush of the pivot member. Accordingly, by plastic deformation, the tip portions have a larger diameter to give the disengagement-preventing portions, in such a manner that a predetermined space ρ is formed between the disengagement-preventing portions and the components that are connected by the connecting pins, respectively. Consequently, unlike the conventional, ordinary caulking, owing to the presence of the space ρ, relative pivotal movement is allowed between the components that are connected by the connecting pins. Therefore, the forming process of the disengagement-preventing portions for the connecting pins, that is, roll caulking, can be easily automated. Further, a disengagement-preventing component, such as E ring, is not required, and a slot or the like for installing the component on the shafts of the connecting pins does not have to be formed. Accordingly, the link connecting structures of a pedal device for a vehicle can be constructed with a small number of components at low cost.
