    摘要： A workpiece registration unit provides dimension signals representative of the diameter of a cylindrical workpiece while a plunge cut therein is made by a grinding wheel of a grinding machine. The dimension signals are provided in response to a workpiece error signal generated by a gage having probes in contact with the workpiece. During the plunge cut, the dimension signals are utilized to control movement of a wheel slide of the grinding machine which is connected to the grinding wheel. The movement causes a responsive change in wheel slide signals provided by a wheel slide registration unit. After substantially completing the plunge cut, the wheel slide signals are altered to correspond to the dimension signals of the workpiece registration unit. The probes are retracted from the workpiece and a portion thereof having a keyway therein is plunge cut with the (previously) altered wheel slide signals being utilized to control the movement.

    摘要： A dimension comparator for machine tools is disclosed wherein a first comparator compares a theoretical numerical dimension with an actual dimension as determined by a position measurer. After it is determined that the actual dimension is greater or less than the theoretical dimension, a second comparator compares the actual dimension to a numerical value representing the theoretical dimension plus or minus the numerical value of an aiming interval. This representative numerical value is determined by an adder controlled by the output of the first comparator. In an alternative embodiment, means are provided for controlling the adder to add predetermined increments to the theoretical dimension for comparison in the second comparator.

    摘要： In a wire-cut discharge machine, a workpiece fixedly mounted on a movable table is returned from the present position to a machining start position so that auxiliary objects, such as clasps for holding the workpiece, and structural objects, such as the nozzle of the wire-cut discharge device, do not interfere with each other. Relative coordinate values between the machining start position and the present position are calculated and the calculated results are displayed on a display device. The workpiece is moved in an X-direction and is then moved in a Y-direction toward the machining start position based on moving data corresponding to the calculated results.
