摘要: A post-processing apparatus includes a conveyance unit, a discharge port, a tray, an elevation unit, a detection unit, and a control unit. The conveyance unit conveys a print medium supplied from an image forming apparatus. The discharge port discharges the print medium conveyed by the conveyance unit. The tray is stacked with the print medium discharged from the discharge port and can be raised and lowered in a vertical direction. The elevation unit raises and lower the tray in the vertical direction. The detection unit detects a top surface of an uppermost print medium of one or more sheets of print media stacked on the tray. The control unit controls the conveyance unit and the elevation unit and hold a relative position of the top surface with respect to the discharge port if the print medium is discharged from the discharge port at a first position. The control unit causes the conveyance unit to convey the print medium at a first speed if a discharge time from a first timing indicating the timing relating to discharge of the print medium from the discharge port to a second timing indicating the timing when the print medium is detected by the detection unit is a first time and causes the conveyance unit to convey the print medium at a second speed different from the first speed if the discharge time is a second time.

摘要: A turnable sheet stopper blocks and passes a sheet conveyed on a sheet guide, and includes a proximal portion, a distal portion connected to the end of the proximal portion, and a folding mechanism that connects the distal portion to the proximal portion. The sheet stopper transitions between first and second positions. In the second position, the proximal and distal portions integrally turn to the downstream side in the sheet conveyance direction to allow the sheet to pass. The sheet stopper transitions from the second position to a third position when a user draws out the sheet from an upstream side. In the third position, the distal portion folds toward the upstream side to allow the sheet to be drawn out. During transition from the second position to the third position, the edge of the distal portion is located on or away from an outer surface of the sheet guide.

摘要: A print control apparatus includes a processor configured to receive printing information including the number of prints to be printed in accordance with one of print jobs, acquire the numbers of containable sheets left for multiple respective container units that contain printing media printed in accordance with the print jobs, and perform control if a maximum value of the acquired numbers of containable sheets left for the respective container units is higher than or equal to the number of prints in one of the print jobs that is to be executed subsequently. The control is performed to discharge one of the printing media that is printed in accordance with the print job to a container unit of the multiple container units that has the maximum value of the numbers of containable sheets left.

摘要: A sheet discharge apparatus includes a discharge and sheet support unit, a detection unit, a rotation member having a first abutting portion positioned above the sheet support unit, and a pressing member provided rotatably independent of the rotation member. The discharge unit nips and discharges a sheet in a sheet discharge direction. The sheet support unit supports the discharged sheet. The rotation member rotates when the first abutting portion is pressed by the sheet. The detection unit detects a position of the rotation member. A second abutting portion of the pressing member abuts against the sheet at a position downstream from a position at which the discharge unit nips the sheet and upstream from the first abutting portion in the sheet discharge direction. The pressing member presses the sheet discharged from the discharge unit downward using the second abutting portion, regardless of a position of the rotation member.

摘要: A sheet discharging device has a discharge roller pair and a sheet discharge tray arranged selectively either in a first position where the sheet discharge tray is stowed along a side surface of an apparatus main body or in a second position where the sheet discharge tray, swung downward from the first position, protrudes beyond the side surface. The sheet discharge tray has a hook member holding, with one of rotation shafts of the discharge roller pair acting as an engagement shaft, the sheet discharge tray in the first position by engaging with the engagement shaft. As a result of the discharge roller pair being rotated with the sheet discharge tray located in the first position, an engagement releasing member fixed to the engagement shaft releases the engagement of the hook member with the engagement shaft, and the sheet discharge tray moves to the second position.

摘要: A stacked sheet detection device includes a shaft, at least one first rotor, a second rotor, and a detection sensor. The shaft includes a plurality of attached portions that are formed in alignment along a width direction perpendicular to a discharge direction of sheets. The first rotor is attachable to any one of the plurality of attached portions. The first rotor includes a fitting portion and an arm portion. The fitting portion is configured to be fitted with one of the attached portions. The arm portion is formed to extend from the fitting portion toward the discharge tray and configured to abut on the sheets stacked on the discharge tray. The first rotor is selectively attachable to any one of the plurality of attached portions. The detection sensor is configured to detect that the second rotor rotates in the predetermined rotation direction beyond a predetermined first detection position.
