摘要: Example embodiments relate to methods and systems for automated generation of radar interference reduction training data for autonomous vehicles. In an example, a computing device causes a radar unit to transmit radar signals in an environment of a vehicle. The computing device may include a model trained based on a labeled interferer dataset that represents interferer signals generated by an emitter located remote from the vehicle. The interferer signals are based on one or more radar signal parameter models. The computing device may use the model to determine whether received electromagnetic energy corresponds to transmitted radar signals or an interferer signal. Based on determining that the electromagnetic energy corresponds to the transmitted radar signals, the computing device may generate a representation of the environment of the vehicle using the electromagnetic energy.

摘要: An ultra-wideband (UWB) system includes an enclosure, and an ultra-wideband (UWB) transmitter array within the enclosure, the UWB transmitter array having a transmitter component that transmits electromagnetic waves toward a region-of-interest (ROI), the UWB array having a receiver component that receives reflected electromagnetic waves from objects in the ROI and generates object data. The system further includes a radar absorbing material positioned to receive electromagnetic waves transmitted from the transmitter component that are not directed toward the ROI, and a pattern recognition device having a processor configured to process the electromagnetic waves reflected from the ROI and to determine whether an object-of-interest (OOI) pattern is recognized within the object data.

摘要: Automotive radar methods and systems for enhancing resistance to interference using a built-in self-test (BIST) module. In one illustrative embodiment, an automotive radar transceiver includes: a signal generator that generates a transmit signal; a modulator that derives a modulated signal from the transmit signal using at least one of phase and amplitude modulation; at least one receiver that mixes the transmit signal with a receive signal to produce a down-converted signal, the receive signal including the modulated signal during a built-in self-test (BIST) mode of operation; and at least one transmitter that drives a radar antenna with a selectable one of the transmit signal and the modulated signal.

The system also includes processing circuitry coupled to the transceiver, the processing circuitry configured to determine that a threshold condition exists. The processing circuitry is also configured to determine a second maximum power level in response to determining that the threshold condition exists, where the second maximum power level is lower than the first maximum power level. The transceiver is configured to transmit, in response to the processing circuitry determining that the threshold condition exists, a second surveillance message at a second power level, wherein the second power level is at or below the second maximum power level.

The radar transmitter includes a phase rotation controller that randomly varies a pattern of a phase rotation every period corresponding to a plurality of transmission cycles, the pattern being to be applied to the radar signal within a period, and a transmission phase rotator that assigns a first phase rotation to the radar signal in accordance with the pattern. The radar receiver includes a reception phase rotator that assigns a second phase rotation in a direction opposite to a direction of the first phase rotation to the reflection wave signal in accordance with the pattern.

A respective transmission line phase-shifting unit is configured to receive at least one phase shifting control signal and to shift a phase of a RF signal by a first phase or a second phase. 摘要: Techniques to improve the detection and mitigation of synchronous and asynchronous interference in radar signals. The corrupted received signals can be processed to reduce the effect of interference, while preserving existing targets. Various can use a two-step approach to (1) detect and mask the corrupted samples, and (2) recover the masked-out samples. The recovery step enforces sparsity of the existing targets and prevents target smearing, which is a common problem after interference mitigation. The sparsity enforcing recovery step can preserve small targets while successfully rejecting interference. The techniques do not require any prior knowledge of the parameters of the interfering radar.
