摘要: In accordance with an embodiment, a radar device includes transmit circuitry configured to emit a radar signal including a plurality of frames each comprising a respective sequence of chirps. The transmit circuitry is further configured to wirelessly emit information about the radar signal to a surrounding environment. The information indicates at least one of a positioning of sequential chirps with respect to each other for at least one of the plurality of frames and a positioning of sequential frames with respect to each other in the radar signal.

The receiver is configured to convert the received radio signals into frequency domain received samples. The receiver is also configured to correlate the frequency domain received samples to detect object distance.

摘要: According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided monitoring living facilities by a multichannel radar. A field of view within a frequency range from 1 to 1000 GHz, for example between 1 to 30 GHz, 10 to 30 GHz, 30 to 300 GHz or 300 to 1000 GHz, is scanned using a plurality of radar channels of the radar. Image units comprising at least amplitude and phase information are generated for a radar image on the basis of results of the scanning. Information indicating at least one error source of a physical movement of the radar and interrelated movements of targets within the field of view are determined on the basis of the image units. Results of the scanning are compensated on the basis of the determined error source. A radar image is generated on the basis of the compensated results.

The advanced system and method comprises: a set of antennas including a set of transmit antennas and a set of receive antennas; a digital beamformer; and a processor operably connected to the set of antennas and the digital beamformer, the processor configured to; identify a set of orthogonal multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) signals, generate a first set of beams via the digital beamformer, and map the set of orthogonal MIMO signals into each of the generated set of beams. The advanced system and method further comprises a transceiver operably connected to the processor, the transceiver configured to: transmit, to a target scene via the set of transmit antenna of the set of antennas, a first signal based on the first set of beams; and receive, via the set of receive antennas of the set of antennas, a second signal based on a second set of beams that is reflected or backscattered from the target scene.

摘要: A radar system includes transmitters and receivers configured for installation and use in a vehicle. The transmitters transmit radio signals. The receivers receive radio signals that include the transmitted radio signals reflected from objects in an environment. Each receiver has an RF front end, an analog-to-digital converter (ADC), a digital signal processor, and a controller. The digital signal processor processes the data from the ADC and stores data samples in a buffer. The buffer operates in several modes defined by the controller. These modes include replay mode, loopback mode, quiet mode, and throttle mode. By controlling the buffer, the same received samples can be processed in multiple ways to generate information on targets at different ranges and velocities. The buffer is read out and the data is processed further to enable the radar system to determine range, velocity, and angle of targets in the environment.

摘要: A system is described for measuring distance between an RFID reader and an RFID backscatter tag, including an adaptive linear combiner, which is a tapped delay line with controllable weights on each tap, and outputs that are summed and subtracted from a reference to produce an error signal. After a sufficient number of cycles, the weight distribution indicates the delay of the received signal with respect to the reference, and by extension determines the distance between the tag and receiver.
