    摘要: A system for detecting and estimating a property of an object based on radar includes a signal generator configured to generate a code sequence for a plurality of transmitters configured to emit radar signals over a selected time frame, the code sequence including a plurality of codes, each code of the plurality of codes having a different code length, each code repeated in the code sequence according to a repetition frequency, and each transmitter configured to emit a radar signal based on the code sequence. The system also includes a receiver configured to detect return signals from reflections of the emitted radar signal, and a processing device configured to estimate a property of an object based on the detected return signals.

    摘要: An automotive radar system includes multiple radar antennas and a radar front end chip. The front end chip includes a plurality of phase rotators coupled to a local oscillator, wherein each phase rotator of the plurality of phase rotators is coupled to multiple digital phase modulators; a plurality of switches that couple selectable ones of the multiple digital phase modulators to respective amplifiers, each amplifier coupled to a respective antenna output; and a controller which provides digital control signals to the plurality of phase rotators, the multiple digital phase modulators, and the plurality of switches to synthesize transmit signals for each of the multiple radar antennas.

    摘要: An advanced system and method is provided. The advanced system and method comprises: a set of antennas including a set of transmit antennas and a set of receive antennas; a digital beamformer; and a processor operably connected to the set of antennas and the digital beamformer, the processor configured to; identify a set of orthogonal multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) signals, generate a first set of beams via the digital beamformer, and map the set of orthogonal MIMO signals into each of the generated set of beams. The advanced system and method further comprises a transceiver operably connected to the processor, the transceiver configured to: transmit, to a target scene via the set of transmit antenna of the set of antennas, a first signal based on the first set of beams; and receive, via the set of receive antennas of the set of antennas, a second signal based on a second set of beams that is reflected or backscattered from the target scene.
