摘要: A method may include, during a filter fouling test of an air filter, determining if the air mover is operating below a first predetermined filter testing speed, in response to the air mover operating below the first predetermined filter testing speed, operating the air mover at the first predetermined filter testing speed and determining an indicator of filter degradation of the air filter responsive to the first predetermined filter testing speed, in response to the air mover operating above the first predetermined filter testing speed, operating the air mover at a second predetermined filter testing speed significantly greater than the first predetermined filter testing speed and determining the indicator of filter degradation of the air filter responsive to the second predetermined filter testing speed, and determining if the indicator of filter degradation is below a respective filter failure threshold.

摘要: Systems and methods determine a filter efficiency of a fluid filter. A characteristic of fluid flow of a fluid is monitored at a first point and at a second point on a flow path of a fluid filter. A particle absorption level of the fluid filter is determined that is a difference in the characteristic of the fluid flow at the first point and the second point. The particle absorption level of the fluid filter is at a particle absorption saturation level based on the difference in the characteristic of the fluid flow at the first point and the second point. The particle absorption saturation level is an indicator that the particles retained by the fluid filter is decreased and replacement of the fluid filter is required to increase the particles retained by the fluid filter to be above the particle absorption saturation level.

摘要: A method for automated cleaning of a filter basket in a bioreactor includes determining permeability of the filter basket. A control unit controls a suction unit for suctioning a residual liquid from the liquid tank, a liquid metering unit for dispensing a liquid having a predetermined liquid volume into the filter basket controls the suction unit to empty the liquid tank by suctioning a filtered liquid volume, measures the volume of the suctioned liquid volume, and sending a first measurement signal to the control unit. The control unit determines a permeability quotient from the volume of the extracted filtered liquid volume to the volume of the dispensed predetermined liquid volume and compares the permeability quotient with a permeability threshold. The control unit then controls a cleaning unit to perform a cleaning process of the filter basket if the permeability quotient is below the permeability threshold.

摘要: A filtration monitoring system is an electronic system control module installed on an internal combustion engine or within a vehicle powered by the internal combustion engine. The filtration monitoring system monitors the health and status of the filtration systems present on the engine. The filtration monitoring system tracks filter loading patterns and predicts remaining service life of the filters by running smart algorithms based on sensor feedback (e.g., pressure sensor feedback, fluid quality characteristic sensor feedback, etc.). In some arrangements, the described filtration monitoring systems provide feedback as to whether a genuine (i.e., authorized, OEM approved, etc.) or unauthorized filter cartridge is installed in a given filtration system. The filtration monitoring system may be retrofit into an existing internal combustion engine or vehicle that does not already have a filtration monitoring system.
