摘要: Product pieces (2) produced from old tires are thermally processed in a discontinually operated device (1). The product pieces (2) consist of a material compound, which comprises at least one material component which decomposes by heating, by mechanically moving and/or fluidizing the product pieces (2) in the device (1) and by heating to an material decomposition temperature via heated contact surfaces of the device (1). At this temperature the material compound decomposes in one or several solid matter material components and fluids, which can be taken out of the device (1) separately. A single component separation is made possible by the method and the use of the device. Environmental impact is mostly avoided.

摘要: Method of remediating a soil contaminated by polyhalogenated hydrocarbons, in particular PCBs, PCDDs and PCDFs, comprising the steps of removing and sieving the soil to free it of stones and gravel; possibly regulating the moisture content of the sieved soil to a value of 10-30%; subjecting the sieved soil to thermal treatment while it flows in the form of a thin, turbulent, dynamic layer in contact with a wall heated to at least 250° C.; separating the thermally treated soil from the steam generated following such treatment, the soil being substantially free of the aforementioned polyhalogenated hydrocarbons.

摘要: The auger gasifier described includes, in its preferred embodiments, a vertically elongated (“oblong”) primary gasifier chamber with an auger that can move up and down, allowing for large amounts of fuel input when necessary. This improvement, in turn, requires and/or is facilitated by provision for simultaneous elevation adjustments of the auger and bed dam to assure that fuel material is processed in degrees from the top downward without sweeping massive amounts of the fluidized bed materials towards the output end of the chamber. Another improvement involves provision for pressurization of the primary gasifier chamber, allowing substantial improvements in the speed of processing materials through the gasifier. Due to issues arising from thermal expansion of the refractory material lining the chamber, provision is made for nozzle and refractory imbedded pipe hole thermal expansion capability. Finally, provision is for steam injection into and/or auxiliary heating of the chamber to enhance gasification and the production of syngas.

摘要: A gasification melting facility comprises: a fluidized bed gasification furnace that generates pyrolysis gas by thermally decomposing waste and discharges incombustibles; a melting furnace into which the pyrolysis gas is fed; a pyrolysis gas passage that connects the fluidized bed gasification furnace and the melting furnace; a grinder that grinds the incombustibles discharged from the fluidized bed gasification furnace by passing the incombustibles through a plurality of rods; a vibratory sifter that screens the incombustibles ground in the grinder; a fixed amount feeder that feeds at a fixed amount the incombustibles that pass through the vibratory sifter, the fixed amount feeder including a plurality of transfer chambers rotatable between a position to receive the incombustibles from the vibratory sifter and a position to discharge the incombustibles; and an airflow conveyor that conveys the fixed amount of the incombustibles from the fixed amount feeder together with airflow.

摘要: A pyrolysis system includes a generally cylindrical reactor chamber having two opposite ends and a longitudinal axis. The chamber has an inlet for receiving biomass, the inlet being adapted to prevent air from entering the chamber and being located at a first opposite end; a gas outlet for recuperating biogas produced in the reactor chamber, the gas outlet being adapted to prevent air from entering the chamber and being located at a second opposite end; and a solid outlet for recuperating charcoal produced in the reactor chamber, the solid outlet being adapted to prevent air from entering the chamber and being located at the second opposite end. The biomass is then subjected to indirect heating supplied by a heated rotor that decomposes the biomass in the absence of air or oxygen into a biogas and charcoal. A controller for controlling a rate of feed of biomass, extracted carbon residue and a temperature inside the reactor chamber is also provided. In a preferred embodiment, the shaft is heated by a portion of the energy recuperated from the pyrolysis system.
