摘要: A Stirling cycle machine with a liquid fuel/gaseous fuel burner. The burner may include a preheater to capture the thermal energy of the exhaust. The burner directs the preheated air to each burner head, where it enters a prechamber. Each burner head includes a fuel nozzle that directs liquid or gaseous fuel into the prechamber. The prechamber is fluidically connected to a combustion chamber via a prechamber nozzle that has a smaller opening than the prechamber. The burner head ignites the fuel air mixture in the prechamber with an ignitor located above or within the prechamber. The flame is initially lit as a diffusion flame in the prechamber. The flame is pushed out of the prechamber into the combustion chamber by an increased air flow rate. The liquid fuel from the nozzle now evaporates in the prechamber and forms a prevaporized flame in the combustion chamber.

The rod seal assembly includes a housing between two spaces configured to receive a reciprocating rod, the reciprocating rod disposed within a first space and a second space, a floating bushing configured to move axially and radially within the housing and disposed coaxially around the reciprocating rod, a rod seal configured to seal the outside diameter of the reciprocating rod relative to an inside surface of the floating bushing, and at least one stationary bushing fixed within the housing that may form a seal with the floating bushing to the axial flow of fluid in the presence of a pressure difference between the two spaces.

摘要: An air spring with damping characteristics for a suspension assembly of a heavy-duty vehicle includes a bellows and a piston. The bellows includes a bellows chamber. The bellows is attached to a main member of the heavy-duty vehicle and to the piston. The piston includes an open bottom that is sealingly closed by a disc attached to the open bottom. The piston and the disc define a piston chamber. The piston is mounted on the suspension assembly of the heavy-duty vehicle. The bellows chamber and the piston chamber are in fluid communication with each other via at least one opening, wherein airflow between the bellows chamber and the piston chamber provides damping to the suspension assembly of the heavy-duty vehicle.

摘要: A seal is provided for sealing between an outer perimeter opening having upper and lower edges and an inner assembly having first and second members. The seal includes an outer perimeter seal including a reinforcing insert molded therein. The outer perimeter seal includes a first seal bead at a first axial end and a second seal bead at a second axial end. A flexible diaphragm portion extends radially inward from the outer perimeter seal. An inner perimeter seal is connected to a radially inner end of the flexible diaphragm portion. The inner perimeter seal includes a first seal bead on a first surface of the inner perimeter seal and a second seal bead on a second surface of the inner perimeter seal. The inner perimeter seal being adapted to be inserted between the first and second members of the inner assembly.

摘要: A bellows assembly is secured to a retainer by extrusions having a mushroom or arrow shaped cross section. Air flowing through the terminal impinges upon an impervious film covering the central portion of the device and is diverted into two flow paths. Initially the flow paths extend between the film and the cutoff plates which coact to form a tight shut off. Downstream of the cutoff plates, the flow paths are between a porous foam covering the bellows and foam surrounding the cutoff plates to provide a sound reducing effect. If necessary or desirable, the back of the retainer may be covered with foam or other suitable sound insulating material.

Such rolling bellows are stressed particularly severely during telescoping in the pressureless state during assembly and also under emergency condititions.
