The suspension assembly including a static member or plate; a moving member or plate movable about an x-axis and a y-axis with respect to the static plate; a sensor mounting region on the moving plate; and one or more shape memory alloy (SMA) elements extending between and coupled to the static plate and moving plate. The SMA elements, when driven by a controller, move the moving plate and the sensor mounting region thereon about the x-axis and the y-axis with respect to the static plate.

摘要: A vibration isolation system for compactly mounting a vibrating component, such as an air compressor, to an object, such as an air tank, is described. The system may include a rod and bumper system to isolate the vibrations generated by the air compressor from the vehicle or object that it is mounted to. A primary isolation subsystem may include a rod suspension design which consumes significantly less space than existing solutions. The rod is able to achieve equal spring rates in any direction.

摘要: A shaft mounting assembly includes an elongate shaft with an outer surface having a substantially circular cross-section and a cylinder having an inner surface defining a bore housing the shaft. A spring having a substantially circular discontinuous band with correspondingly shaped axially arcuate inner and outer surfaces. One of the surfaces comprises a groove, and the spring is positioned in the groove with both axial edges of the band located therein. In a de-energised state of the spring, the height of the band is greater than the depth of the groove, a portion of the band between the axial edges protruding out of the groove, the axial width of the band being less than the width of the groove; and, an energised state with the spring compressed within the bore to reduce the height of the band and increase the axial width compared to the de-energised state.

摘要: A mount system provides vibration isolation and support through a hybrid hard-soft configuration. The mount system includes a frame and a body connected with the frame. A first coupling element is provided on the body and defines a first opening. A second coupling element is provided on the frame and defines a second opening. A pin extends through the first and second openings to couple the body to the frame. At least one of the first and/or second openings operates as a damping hole with a series of slits disposed about the damping hole, so that the damping hole with the slits is configured to deflect to reduce the transmission of vibrations between the body and the frame.

A compensation device is included having at least one secondary damper of longitudinal action with two ends with one end being secured to the frame and the other end is connected to the end of the main damper connected to the load The secondary damper is arranged so that, at one point of stroke C, the secondary damper has an action orthogonal in direction to the direction of the movement.

摘要: A system and method for reducing vibration of a cantilevered patient support surface are provided herein. A system includes a spring and roller coupled with the spring. The spring creates an upwards spring bias on the patient support surface. The roller is coupled with the spring via a roller lever arm. A frictional resistance at the roller arm and an upward directed spring bias enables the roller to maintain constant contact with the patient support surface.

摘要: A system and apparatus for a slip joint mount is disclosed to accommodate thermal expansion of a generator set on a base. One embodiment includes an electric generator driven by a prime mover and an equipment mount coupled to the prime mover. A base includes a mounting aperture and means for retaining the equipment mount to the mounting aperture. Also disclosed is means for allowing for movement of the equipment mount with respect to the mounting aperture due to thermal expansion of a portion of the prime mover.

摘要: According to certain embodiments, a container assembly for protecting a flexible panel comprises a back panel positioned behind the flexible panel and offset by a first substantially airtight compartment, a front panel positioned in front of the flexible panel and offset by a second substantially airtight compartment, and a stiffener panel positioned in front of the front panel and offset by a third substantially airtight compartment. The front, back, and stiffener panels each comprise one or more rigid materials. Each rigid material has higher natural frequency and lower excursion properties than the flexible panel. The container assembly is tuned using fixed, gas-piston principles to impart the higher natural frequency and lower excursion properties of the rigid materials to the flexible panel such that the natural frequency of the flexible panel increases and the extent to which the flexible panel experiences excursions greater than 350 microns is reduced.

摘要: An isolator for damping heat and vibrations between a heat shield and heat source is provided. The isolator includes a housing and a washer. The housing surrounds a center opening and extends axially from a first end portion to a second end portion and includes an intermediate portion therebetween. The housing has a serpentine shape. The first end portion and the intermediate portion of the housing clamp a washer therebetween, and the second end portion and the intermediate portion of the housing clamp the heat shield therebetween. The washer includes a plurality of through openings between an outer periphery and the center opening for enhancing vibration dampening and minimizing heat transfer from the heat source to the heat shield. The isolator optionally includes a collar member disposed along the center opening of the washer to facilitate mounting of the isolator to the heat source.
