摘要: A disc spring which is used by arranging a plurality of the disk springs in an axial direction along a central axis includes an annular body plate portion that has an inner peripheral surface and an other peripheral surface which gradually extend toward one side in the axial direction from an outside toward an inside in a radial direction, and a stopper portion that protrudes from the body plate portion in a direction intersecting the inner peripheral surface and the outer peripheral surface of the body plate portion, in which in a case where an axial compression load is applied to a spring member in which a plurality of the disc springs are arranged in the axial direction, the stopper portion abuts another disk spring adjacent in the axial direction or a support member supporting an axial end portion of the spring member, the body plate portion and the stopper portion are integrally formed, and both axial end edges of the stopper portion are positioned inside both axial end edges of the body plate portion in the axial direction.

The embodiments have elastic lacings or connections which connect springs to springs or springs to lacings. Various spring embodiments are provided as well as various arrangements for the elastic lacings. All of these features improve compliance and stability while reducing motion transfer.

摘要: An elastic wave cloaking lattice-based metamaterial for cloaking an object within a void includes a lattice of connected unit cells arranged to form a void, each unit cell comprising a mass and a plurality of connecting springs, the mass coupled by the plurality of connecting springs to masses in adjacent unit cells, the plurality of connecting springs comprising at least two large springs of a first length and at least two short springs of a second length, the first length greater than the second length, the springs and masses having relational and mechanical characteristics to facilitate elastic wave cloaking in the totality of the lattice. The lattice as a whole has metamaterial properties resulting from the positional relationship and mechanical properties of masses and connecting springs of the unit cells such that the lattice at least partially cloaks an object or material portioned within the void from elastic waves.

摘要: A spring assembly with two or more springs, one inside another. The spring assembly can have two springs wherein one spring is located inside another spring, and the outer spring can be a helical ribbon spring and the inner spring can be a canted coil spring to provide support to the outer helical ribbon spring. Support is provided where the helical ribbon spring may have some limitations that the inner spring is able to overcome. Limitations of the helical ribbon spring may be a limited force versus deflection curve which the additional spring support of the secondary spring may overcome.
