    摘要: A pinion bearing arrangement of a gearbox for a vehicle or aircraft, providing at least one roller bearing. At least one of the roller bearings is a ball bearing, having an inner ring and an outer ring, wherein both rings have raceways for balls being located between the rings. To ensure a sufficient lifetime of the roller bearings the invention includes that at least one of the rings is made from a ball bearing steel produced by a powder metallurgical process using a powder metallurgy component including 0.5 to 2.0 weight-% C, a maximum of 0.035 weight-% S, 3.0 to 5.0 weight-% Cr, 1.0 to 4.0 weight-% V, 1.0 to 12.0 weight-% W and 2.0 to 12.0 weight-% Mo, wherein at least one raceway has a radius (rI/O) and the balls have a diameter (DB) which fulfill the equation: rI/O/DB>0.53.

    摘要: The present invention is a method for producing a fluid dynamic pressure bearing made of powder sintered metal and that grooves for generating dynamic pressure are formed on an inner peripheral surface and whose object is to facilitate forming a ferrosoferric oxide (Fe3O4) membrane on a surface of a bearing material, the method comprising compacting metal powder including at least not less than 70% by weight of particles with diameters of not more than 45 μm to gain a bearing material, sintering said bearing material, forming grooves for generating dynamic pressure on said sintered bearing material, and performing steam treatment to said sintered bearing material with said grooves to form a ferrosoferric oxide (Fe3O4) membrane on a porous surface of an inner surface or on porous surfaces of an inner surface and both end surfaces, so that gaps between particles become small because diameters of the particles of material powder of a powder sintered bearing material are approximately even and fine and are even small pores, as a result, sealing pores on the surface due to steam treatment is easy and dynamic pressure cannot be leaked.

    摘要: The retainer of the present invention is made of a composite material having a body made from a polymer, a layer of solid lubricant formed over the body by chemically coating the body with a porous layer of solid lubricant and impregnating the solid lubricant with another lubricant using conventional methods such as vacuum impregnation. The retainer is placed between an outer raceway and an inner raceway to form a self-lubricating bearing. The bearing made in this manner has high lubrication tolerance (i.e. it performs well in the absence of external lubrication). Because of its high lubrication tolerance, the bearing is suitable for use in various applications such as dental/medical hand pieces that are periodically sterilized and other applications which occasionally experience periods of lubrication starvation.
