The method includes forming a valve core, splitting the valve core, placing a metal ring of dissimilar material between two pieces of the valve core, casting a valve body around the valve core, and fusing the metal ring to the valve body.

The heat radiation member includes a laminated structure including metal materials 21 and 22 and a carbon material 10 having the following property (A) bonded to each other; (A) in pressurizing one principal surface of a plate specimen having a thickness of 11 mm of the carbon material with nitrogen gas of 200 kPa, the carbon material having a gas permeability of the nitrogen gas permeating to the other principal surface with a flow rate of 5 L/min or more and 30 L/min or less per 0.01 m2 in terms of area of the pressurized principal surface, the pressurized principal surface having an area of 0.005 m2 or more.

摘要: A process manufactures a metal part for a turbomachine that includes first and second metal materials with different chemical compositions. The process includes the steps of obtaining an element of which at least a first metallic part is made of the first metallic material and placing the element in a first mold and pouring wax into the mold to at least partially cover the element. The first mold has an impression corresponding to at least part of an external surface of the metal part. The process further includes obtaining an assembly by removing the first mold and making a shell mold with a first ceramic around the assembly. The process also includes removing the wax from the shell mold and pouring the second metal material into the shell mold in place of the wax, and removing any ceramics present in the assembly.

摘要: A method of joining two ferrous alloy component parts. The method includes hot metal casting a portion of a first ferrous alloy component part onto a first joining surface of a low carbon intermediate element; friction fitting a joining surface of a second ferrous alloy component part against a second joining surface of the low carbon intermediate element; and fusion welding with a concentrated energy source the intermediate element to the second ferrous alloy component part. The hot metal casting includes flowing a molten ferrous alloy onto the textured first joining surface, wherein the molten ally encompasses tabs extending from the first joining surface and filling apertures defined in the intermediate element. Then cooling the molten ferrous alloy such that a metallurgical and mechanical bond is formed between the portion of the first ferrous alloy component part and the first joining surface of the low carbon intermediate element.

摘要: A method of over-molding a hybrid sub-assembly onto a base structure includes providing a mold for an over-molding process. The mold may comprise a lower mold tool, an upper mold tool, and a tube locator positioned on one of the upper mold tool or lower mold tool. A base structure formed of a first material is located into the tube locator. A mandrel tool is inserted into an opening in the base structure. The upper and lower mold tools are closed and clamped shut. A second material, such as a lighter weight or lower density material is heated to at least a semi-solid or slurry state. The semi-solid or slurry is injected into the mold to form a molded sub-assembly that is mechanically bonded to the base structure.
