    摘要: An electrical measuring instrument, in particular an air flow rate meter in an internal combustion engine, which is exposed to a flowing medium, has a mount, a substrate retained in the mount, terminals, and a temperature-dependent measuring resistor disposed on the substrate between two of the terminals. The substrate has a side at which the medium strikes the measuring resistor. A device for drift reduction in the electrical measuring instrument includes an obstruction disposed upstream of the substrate at the side at which the medium strikes the measuring resistor. The obstruction interrupts a dirt film developing between the terminals.

    摘要: A fuel injection and control system for a V-type, two cycle, crankcase compression, internal combustion engine. The fuel injection system includes fuel injectors positioned in the valley of the engine and which are supplied with fuel under pressure from a fuel tank through a line in which a fuel filter and fuel pump are positioned. The fuel pump and fuel filter are disposed at one end of the engine and the amount of pressure supplied to the fuel injectors is controlled by a pressure regulator that regulates pressure by bypassing excess fuel back to the fuel filter upstream of the filter element. A throttle control and throttle position sensor are disposed at the opposite end of the engine and exhaust control valves are provided outside of the valley of the "V" of the engine. The amount of air flow to the engine is sensed by a crankcase pressure sensor and an arrangement is incorporated for preventing damage to the crankcase pressure sensor by isolating it from negative pressure conditions which exist at times in the crankcase chamber.

    摘要: Various forms of Karman vortex generators are used for flowmeters in which the vortices generated are used to create pressure differences on opposite sides of a vibrator plate whose frequency of rotation is measured optically as a measure of the fluid flow. One form of flowmeter, used to measure the quantity of air inhaled by an internal combustion engine, uses a chamber outside the path of the inhaled gas which is maintained at a negative pressure and which communicates both with the air line and outside air such that clean air is drawn in to keep the optics enclosed therein clean.

    摘要: A fuel supply system is proposed for mixture-compressing internal combustion engines having externally supplied ignition. The fuel supply system includes an air intake tube delimited by an air filter, the air intake tube having a conical section downstream of which an arbitrarily actuatable throttle device is disposed. Associated with the conical section of the air intake tube is an air bypass line in which an air flow rate meter provided with a temperature-dependent resistor is disposed. The quantity aspirated by the engine is determined by this air flow rate meter. A fuel injection valve is disposed in such a manner that on one side it protrudes into the interior of the air filter and on the other side, with a slender mouthpiece, it protrudes approximately through the conical section. The fuel can be injected into the gap between the throttle device and the air intake tube wall by means of this mouthpiece. The fuel supply system according to the invention has a very low structural height.

    摘要: In a fuel injection system, the combination of an air measuring valve, biasing structure and an air suction tube of an internal combustion engine. The suction tube defines an air flow cross section and the air measuring valve provides a controlled flow of air through the flow cross section, with the air measuring valve being mounted eccentrically within the suction tube against a force produced by the biasing structure to effect the noted control. Both the air measuring valve and the suction tube have cooperating surfaces which effect a closing of the flow cross section by the biasing structure when no air is flowing; and during air flow a gradual opening at one end of the air measuring valve by an impedance induced force as a function of the pressure difference prevailing on both sides of the air measuring valve and a further opening at the other end of air measuring valve as the air flow increases through the opening at the first mentioned end.

    摘要: A fuel injection system for externally ignited internal combustion engines including a device for injecting fuel into an air stream and an air measuring device comprising a valve having an airfoil portion. The air measuring valve is pivotably mounted within the suction tube of the engine, thereby exposing the air measuring valve to the air stream flowing through the suction tube. The air measuring valve is exposed to a combination of forces. One of the forces is an impedance induced force developed in accordance with the principle associated with impedance type valves and as a function of the pressure prevailing in front of and behind the air measuring valve when viewed in the direction of flow of the air stream in the suction tube. The other force is a lift force and is developed in accordance with the airfoil principle and as a result of an air flow about the airfoil portion of the air measuring valve. The impedance induced force occurs when the air flow through the suction tube is small, whereas when the air flow through the suction tube is large, the predominant force is the lift force developed in accordance with the airfoil principle.

    摘要: A control arrangement for mixture compressing injection combustion engines with an air metering arrangement. For metering the fuel quantity in relation to the air quantity, there is provided a pivotable flap in the air suction line upstream of an arbitrarily actuated butterfly valve. This pivotable flap is urged by a spring in the closing direction. The flap is located outside the flow cross section in the suction line wall, and responds to the difference between pressures acting upstream and downstream of the flap. The flap also controls a device for metering the fuel quantity with a part of the flap representing the pivotable wall of a chamber located outside the flow cross section of the air suction line. A connection is provided from the chamber to the suction line downstream of the flap. A support axis upstream of the flap region determines the air flow cross section on the end of the flap facing away from the flap region, with the wall extending between this flap region and the support axis. The wall has an effective working surface which is larger than the flow cross section of the air suction line. The flap, furthermore, has at least one side wall with a curve track on which a lever is guided by a roller, and is located on an axis of the device for metering the fuel quantity.
