    摘要: A fuel metering system for an internal combustion engine has an arbitrarily settable throttle plate which controls the air flow through the induction tube and an air flow responsive valve element, shaped somewhat like a cylindrical sector, which is pivoted inside the induction tube upstream of the throttle plate. The pivoting valve element has a shaft which is surrounded by a bushing. An opening in the bushing is uncovered to varying extent by a control edge on the pivotal shaft so as to meter out fuel in proportion to the angular excursion of the pivoting valve element. The fuel is delivered to the induction tube directly downstream of the pivoting valve element.

    摘要: A fuel supply system for an internal combustion engine includes an airflow metering device in the induction manifold which directly actuates a fuel metering valve formed by cooperating parts of the airflow meter bushing and the shaft around which it pivots. A differential pressure valve holds the pressure drop across the fuel metering aperture constant. Bimetallic springs are provided to exert temperature dependent forces on the diaphragm in the differential pressure valve to increase the differential pressure when the engine is cold.

    摘要: A method and an apparatus are proposed for determining and controlling an exhaust gas recirculation rate in internal combustion engines (Diesel engines), wherein an adjusting member in the exhaust gas recirculation line is adjusted by a regulator in order to attain precise regulation of the exhaust gas quantity recirculated to the aspirated air zone. The regulator is supplied with the exhaust gas temperature (T4) measured at a given time as the load signal for the engine. The comparison value of the regulator is then either an actual value of the exhaust gas recirculation rate, ascertained by means of effective temperature measurements in the intake zone of the engine, or a set-point differential temperature which is produced by means of measuring the aspirated air quantity at a given time and the rpm.

    摘要: A fuel injection system for use with internal combustion engines in which is provided an air aspiration line within which is included a fuel valve for the apportionment of a fuel quantity proportional to the air quantity. The fuel valve extends transversely of the air aspiration line and is arranged to include a plurality of communicating passages about which is positioned a perforated carrier body. A sleeve that includes valve members is also arranged to encircle the carrier body and together therewith adapted to control fuel flow and air flow to said engine.

    摘要: A control device is proposed for regulating the exhaust gas recycling rate in an internal combustion engine with self-ignition in which combustion pressure signals are adjusted directly or indirectly to nominal values dependent on operating characteristics of the engine. In one particular embodiment the combustion pressure signal is differentiated and the frequency of certain occurring amplitude values is adjusted to a nominal value. Owing to the integration of specific combustion processes into the regulation, the device is capable of operating with relatively high precision. It is particularly well suited to compensate for drift phenomena.

    摘要: A fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines, in particular an in-line injection pump for Diesel engines, is proposed having an injection quantity governor and an electrically driven feed pump, in which in order to assure an emergency shutoff in the event of a malfunction of the injection quantity governor, a check valve, the forward flow direction of which is toward a suction chamber filled with fuel by the feed pump, is disposed between the pressure-side outlet of the feed pump and the suction chamber. An emergency shutoff device responding to a malfunction switches off the feed pump drive, so that because of the lack of feed pressure the check valve closes and blocks off the suction chamber. The engine comes to a stop, as soon as a partial vacuum is established in the suction chamber, which occurs as soon as several revolutions later.

    摘要: A regulator shaft, rotary centrifugal weights, and a governor member which is slidable on the regulator shaft, are arranged in a pressurized, fuel-filled inner chamber of a fuel injection apparatus. The centrifugal weights engage regulator springs via the governor member and a control sleeve. The governor member is closed adjacent the free end of the regulator shaft except for a throttle opening for communication with the inner chamber. The governor member is provided with a work chamber, one extremity of which is limited by the regulator shaft. A conduit leading to a fuel tank communicates with the work chamber. A magnetic valve connected to an electronic control device for control of the fuel flow is provided in the conduit. Opening the magnetic valve causes a pressure drop in the work chamber which in turn causes the governor member to press against the centrifugal weights, thus enhancing the fuel injection quantity so as to reduce deviations from those desired and pre-set.
