摘要: One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for a new coolant tank that may also provide a structural element to the frame of the engine compartment. The coolant tank is comprised of a rear wall that also makes up a portion of the firewall in the engine compartment. A structural coolant tank component is engaged with the rear wall to form the coolant reservoir. The coolant reservoir can provide support to attach structural elements of the vehicle, and can also allow for improved space efficiency in the engine compartment. Further, improved access to the filling port is provided, while continued operation and desired function is maintained even at extreme vehicle tilt.

The control part has a rotation angle instruction part, a duty ratio calculator and a determiner. The rotation angle instruction part calculates an instruction value of a rotation angle in response to an operational status of an internal-combustion engine. The duty ratio calculator calculates a duty ratio representing a ratio of ON period to OFF period regarding a voltage applied to an electric motor based on a difference between a detection value of the rotation angle detected by a detector and the instruction value of the rotation angle, and regulates the duty ratio to be lower than or equal to a predetermined upper limit. The determiner determines whether the duty ratio continues to be the upper limit during a predetermined period.

摘要: A thermostat is diagnosed as open failure when a specified time variation in radiator inflow water temperature from a temperature sensor mounted in a first flow path running through a radiator at a time of starting an electric water pump at a cold start of an engine is equal to or greater than a predetermined variation. In the case of open failure of the thermostat, starting the electric water pump causes cooling water from a cooling water flow path of the engine to be flowed to the first flow path, as well as to a second flow path. The radiator inflow water temperature detected by the temperature sensor mounted in the first flow path is raised by the cooling water from the cooling water flow path of the warmed engine.

摘要: An apparatus for maintaining the temperature of an article at a temperature that is below the ambient air temperature includes an enclosure having an outer wall that defines an interior chamber for holding a volume of sealed air. An insert is disposed inside of the chamber and has a body that is made of a porous graphite foam material. A vacuum pump penetrates the outer wall and fluidly connects the sealed air in the interior chamber with the ambient air outside of the enclosure. The temperatures of the insert and article is maintained at temperatures that are below the ambient air temperature when a volume of a liquid is wicked into the pores of the porous insert and the vacuum pump is activated to reduce the pressure of a volume of sealed air within the interior chamber to a pressure that is below the vapor pressure of the liquid.

摘要: A fan having a temperature detecting function includes a fan frame, an extension member, a temperature sensor and a restricting portion. The fan frame has an air inlet, an air outlet, and an impeller rotatably arranged between the air inlet and the air outlet. The extension member has one end adjacent to the fan frame. The temperature sensor is arranged at one of the air inlet and the air outlet via the extension member in a position where the surface of the temperature sensor is fully exposed to the ambient air. The restricting portion is arranged at the one of the air inlet or the air outlet. The restricting portion is located between the extension member and the impeller and is adapted to prevent the extension member from making contact with the impeller.
