摘要: A wellbore tractor is provided. The wellbore tractor includes a single hydraulic line and at least one valve disposed along the single hydraulic line. At least two pairs of drives hydraulically coupled with the single hydraulic line such that the single hydraulic line can control the drives to open and/or close. A valve can be disposed along the single hydraulic line between each pair of drives. By controlling the opening and/or closing of each valve, along with controlling the inflow or removal of fluid in the hydraulic line, each pair of drives can be individually controlled to maneuver the wellbore tractor.

摘要: A wireline clean-out tool including a first opening and a second opening at or near a free-end portion. The first opening takes in debris from a wellbore, the second opening ejects fluid into the wellbore. A housing defines a first flow path from the first opening at the free-end portion to an opposite end portion of the housing and a second flow path from the opposite end portion to the second opening at the free-end portion. The flow paths couple with each other at the opposite end portion. A collection chamber is in the first flow path for collecting debris during operation. A progressive cavity pump with hollow rotors is placed inside the housing at a predefined distance from the free-end portion being configured for operating on the first flow path while the hollow rotor forms part of the second flow path.

摘要: A tractor assembly includes a toroidal shaped fluid filled membrane mounted over a body and a drive system coupled with the membrane. The drive system includes a helical flight that inverts the membrane when rotated against its inner surface. A mid-section of the body includes sleeve like portions that telescope with one another and shorten a length of the body. Fluid in the membrane is forced from the mid-section and radially expands a forward portion and into contact with an inner surface of the passage, so that when the membrane is inverted while in a passage, frictional contact between the membrane and inner surface of the passage creates a force that urges the tractor assembly through a passage.
