    Abstract: A wireline apparatus is for moving a tool into or out of a well. The apparatus is configured for forming a pressure vessel in combination with at least a portion of the well. The apparatus has: a first compartment for forming part of the pressure vessel; a hoisting means, the hoisting means being placed inside the first compartment; a wireline connected to the hoisting means; a second compartment arranged inside the first compartment; an electrical motor for driving the hoisting means, the electrical motor placed inside the second compartment; and a drive shaft for connecting the motor to the hoisting means, the drive shaft extending from the motor to the hoisting means through a wall separating the first compartment and second compartment. A method is for moving the tool in the well.

    Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided relating bottom hole assemblies (BHA) electrically connected to a wireline. The BHA adapted for manipulating one or more target sleeve valves spaced along a wellbore having a sleeve shifting tool and a sealing element. The system can be shifted open by fluid pressure or electrically actuated stroking and closed by electrically actuated stroking. Methods of deploying a BHA for fracturing operations connected by wireline in a casing of a wellbore are also provided including obtaining real time sensor data from the BHA.

    Abstract: A method of forming a lateral borehole in a pay zone located within an earth subsurface is provided. The method includes determining a depth of a pay zone in the earth subsurface, and then forming a wellbore within the pay zone. The method also includes conveying a hydraulic jetting assembly into the wellbore on a working string. The assembly includes a jetting hose carrier, and a jetting hose within the jetting hose carrier having a nozzle connected at a distal end. The method additionally includes setting a whipstock in the wellbore along the pay zone, and translating the jetting hose out of the jetting hose carrier to advance the nozzle along the face of the whipstock. The method then includes injecting hydraulic jetting fluid through the jetting hose and connected jetting nozzle, thereby excavating a lateral borehole within the rock matrix, and further injecting the fluid while further translating the jetting hose and connected nozzle along the face of the whipstock without coiling or uncoiling the hose, thereby forming a lateral borehole that extends at least 5 feet from the wellbore.

    Abstract: A method for conducting a subsea well intervention at a subsea well, and a related system. In particular embodiments, an assembly is provided comprising a wireline drum pressure container unit, a lubricator package having a lock chamber tube enclosing a tool string and having at least one valve in a vertical bore, and a connector used to connect the assembly to a well control package on a well head of the well. In such an embodiment, the method can include displacing well fluid in a cavity between the valve of the lubricator package and a valve of the well control package, using a clean fluid, while the valve of the lubricator package is closed. The assembly can then be disconnected from said well control package at the connector and retrieved to the surface, whereby contamination of seawater due to disconnection can be reduced or minimized.
