    摘要： A closet auger includes an elongated casing member extending along an axis, a cable drum rotatably coupled to the elongated casing member, a drive coupling connected to the cable drum to rotate the cable drum about the axis, and a flexible cable having a first length stored within the cable drum and a second length extending through the casing member and out from the casing member. The closet auger also includes a feed assembly having a handle movable along the casing member and a plurality of gripping members carried by the handle. Each gripping member has a first end pivotally coupled to the handle and a second end biased radially outward from the handle. The plurality of gripping members is circumferentially spaced about the axis and operable to selectively engage the flexible cable to push the flexible cable into or pull the flexible cable out of the cable drum.

    摘要： A drain cleaning device includes a power unit including a housing, a motor, and a spindle. A drum assembly incudes a shroud coupled to the housing, a drum configured to be rotated by the spindle, and a cable received in the drum. A handle assembly is coupled to the drum assembly and extends along an axis. A feed mechanism is coupled to the handle assembly and is configured to guide the cable through the handle assembly. The feed mechanism includes a quick release selector configured to selectively engage a roller assembly with the cable to enable the cable to be fed through the handle assembly along the axis, and a directional selector configured to vary a feed direction of the cable along the axis by changing a position of a roller assembly.

    摘要： A drain cleaner is disclosed having a housing with an interior region for storing a flexible drain cleaning cable. The drain cleaning cable can be extended from the drain cleaner and includes a rotatable member within a non-rotating sheath. The drain cleaner includes an engageable drive shaft coupled to the rotatable member. In certain versions, the drive shaft is coupled to the rotatable member through a torque limiting device such as a clutch. Upon engagement of the drive shaft with a rotary power source, a rotating distal end of the flexible cable can be used to dislodge obstructions in pipes. The interior region of the drain cleaner is configured to promote efficient coiling of the drain cleaning cable. The drain cleaner includes additional features for reducing wear of cable and components, and securely retaining the cable to the drain cleaner.
