摘要: A storm surge protection barrier is provided for a shore line bordering a sea that is prone to storm surges. The barrier includes a plurality of individual wall sections each having a plurality of plastic-based structural beams joined by at least one cross structural cross tie. The wall sections each have an above-grade upper portion of a predetermined first length, LAB and a below-grade lower portion of a predetermined second length LBG, and wherein LAB>2LBG. The wall sections are arranged upright and buried in a trench of the shore line in side-by-side succession to form a continuous barrier wall with the below-grade lower portions disposed in the trench and the above-grade upper portions projecting upwardly out of the trench at a predetermined tilt angle away from the sea of between 1 and 10 degrees.

摘要: A wall includes a central hub having an axis extending in a longitudinal direction and three circumferentially spaced walls extending radially from the central hub. Each of the walls is made of cast concrete reinforced with a rebar cage having a plurality of longitudinally spaced pairs of parallel rebars extending radially from the central hub to an end rebar that extends perpendicularly relative to the parallel rebars. Each end rebar is connected to radially outer ends of one of the pairs of parallel rebars. A seawall comprises a plurality of the walls connected together end-to-end with a cable, and connecting plates fastened to adjacent sections. A form for manufacturing the wall encloses connected rebars and is filled with concrete.

摘要: Disclosed is a crest element in an armor layer assembly of a breakwater. The crest element includes: a central part; two wings extending from the central part in opposing directions along, when placed on a breakwater, the length direction of the breakwater; and a nose extending from the central part in a forward direction transverse to the length direction of the breakwater. The backside of the central part is a vertically oriented, back face facing in a backward direction opposite to the forward direction. The crest element may in particular be used as crest element for armor layers including armor elements of the type having a central part from which: two wings extend in opposing directions, and a tail and nose extend in opposing directions transverse to the direction of extension of the wings. Also disclosed is an armor layer, a breakwater and methods using the crest elements.

摘要: The present invention discloses an ecological seawall water close side embankment slope drainage structure and a construction method thereof. The ecological seawall water close side embankment slope drainage structure includes a seawall, and further includes a wave dissipation ridge and water collecting wells, wherein the wave dissipation ridge is disposed at an upper side of the seawall, a drainage blind ditch is formed in an upper surface of the seawall, and the drainage blind ditch is matched with the wave dissipation ridge; the water collecting wells are distributed at a lower side of the drainage blind ditch at equal intervals, and lower end portions of the water collecting wells communicate with drainage concealed pipes; and pipe seats are disposed at a lower end portion of an inclined plane of the seawall, lower end portions of the drainage concealed pipes are fixedly connected onto the pipe seats, and flap valves are rotationally connected to lower end surfaces of the drainage concealed pipes. The present invention not only can reduce the erosion degree of sea waves to the seawall, but also can collect seawater going over the wave dissipation ridge and discharge the collected seawater into the sea again.

In some deeper water embodiments, the sections may include a base portion, a top portion and one or more spacer portions to enable raising or changing the height of the system.

摘要: Method of design and manufacturing concrete structures subjected to relevant cyclic loads along their service lives, as wind towers, and a fatigue testing machine. The method consists on the design of concrete structures conditioned by cyclic loads considering a fatigue strength value specified by the project as one of the main design parameters, which will be verified during the manufacturing phase as one of the control parameters of the quality assurance plan by performing fatigue strength test on concrete samples representative of the concrete structural elements produced on said manufacturing phase. The method allows to decouple the concrete fatigue strength from the compressive strength of the material, which is why includes a verification of the fatigue strength as a part of a quality assurance plan of production according to a new developed procedure.

摘要: A system and method to provide water and sediment flow through a dam or rock jetty, including a plurality of flow pipes positioned through the dam or jetty to receive water carrying sediment and a principal flow pipe to receive flow from the plurality of flow pipes and to deposit water and sediment a predetermined distance to the rear of the dam or jetty. A continuous trough may be mounted on the jetty forward face to efficiently capture water and sediment at entrances of the plurality of flow pipes. A system and method is also provided to suppress wave action against a shoreline and to collect sediment to build up the shoreline, comprising shelves extending out from a front wall of each body section, below a plurality of flow pipes, the shelves for shearing a wave and dispersing and using wave energy to direct sediment through the flow pipes.
