摘要:
A damping element (6) comprises, adjoining one another in the longitudinal direction (7), a head part (3), neck part (4) and foot part (5) of concrete. The cross section of the neck part transversely to the longitudinal direction (7) is smaller than the cross section of the head part transversely to the longitudinal direction and is smaller than the cross section of the foot part transversely to the longitudinal direction, such that a system of channels (8) is formed. The foot part (5) has, over at least a portion of the periphery (18) thereof, a recess (15) directed transversely to the longitudinal direction. Together with the grit particles (16) accommodated therein, these grooves (15) provide a stabilizing effect.

In order to reduce the amount of an organism attractant substance remaining inside concrete that tends be used wastefully and also to allow the organism attractant substance to effectively flow out gradually in a long period of time, an environmentally active, preserving and repairing-use concrete block is provided in which the air content and flowability of the concrete are increased, and the congregating and growing effects for fishes and shellfishes and the adhering and growing effects for algae are maintained so that a high attractant effect by odor of the organism attractant substance is obtained. An environmentally active preserving and repairing-use concrete block is provided with at least three or more legs, and in this structure the environmentally active preserving and repairing-use concrete block is formed by using an environmentally active preserving and repairing-use concrete having high air content and high flowability formed by kneading an organism attractant substance having a specific odor therein.

The invention relates to an armor unit to construct armor layers of mound breakwaters, revetments and groins for shore protection or hydraulic and maritime structures featuring a cubic or parallelepiped shape (2) and having one or more protrusions (1) on its faces to prevent coupling between the different armor units and to increase interlocking with the underlayer (3) of the armor layer.

A wave protection structure is intended for a slope, such as the slope of a breakwater or a bank, which slope merges into a bed at the location of a toe. The wave protection structure comprises wave protection elements and toe elements. The wave protection elements are each provided with a plurality of projections for engaging in one another and are provided on the slope in a substantially regular imaginary grid, with a horizontal grid spacing between the centers of gravity of the wave protection elements. The toe elements extend along the toe and their shape differs from the shape of the wave protection elements. The centers of gravity of the toe elements are provided at substantially the horizontal grid spacing from one another. As a result of the toe elements being provided at the grid spacing of the wave protection elements, it is easier to position the toe elements. This also allows the use of larger blocks and means that it is no longer necessary to stack the wave protection elements.

An erosion protection device is described which is made of two or more components. Each component has an edge, surfaces on respective sides of the edge and at least one joining portion (a joining portion of a component comprises a recess in the edge and receiving portions on respective sides of the edge). Each recess has a base which is indented relative to the edge, and sidewalls which diverge as they extend from the base out to the edge. The receiving portions diverge relative to each other with the same slope as the sidewalls as they extend from adjacent the base of the recess away from the edge towards the respective surfaces. When joining two components together, a bonding medium is applied to the joining portion on one or both components. The joining portions are then brought together such that the space between the sidewalls and receiving portions of one component and the receiving portions and sidewalls respectively of the other component diminishes thereby squeezing the bonding medium therebetween as the components come together.

The present invention relates to ballast which have a high stability and a long service life and to a process for the production of ballast. These ballast are suitable for railway track laying and road construction and dike systems used for example in costal protection. These ballast comprise ballast stones and polyurethane foams based on a reaction mixture of selected polyisocyanates and selected compounds with isocyanate-reactive groups.

A protective element for a breakwater or wave-retarding construction comprises a body that has at least two opposing projections. The projections are on either side of a flat base and extend transversely thereto. The periphery of the base is non-circular, so that rolling of the protective element under the influence of the beating of the waves is resisted.

An armor unit for protecting coastal, river, lake, and reservoir banks, shorelines, and other structures from the damaging hydrodynamic forces of waves and water currents. The armor unit has a central elongate member having a longitudinal axis and first and second outer elongate members connected with the central elongate member on opposite sides thereof. The first and second outer elongate members have parallel longitudinal axes extending normal to the longitudinal axis of the central elongate member. The elongate members may each have an octagonal cross section decreasing from an intermediate portion toward the opposite ends. When a plurality of units are interlocked to define a protective array, a high degree of wedging is afforded between the octagonal members.
