摘要: A polytetrafluoroethylene porous fiber and a manufacturing and modifying process thereof including: blending a PTFE raw material, a processing aid, a modifying filler and the like with certain shear strength by using a blending device; extruding the blend through a die head, drawing, and feeding the blend into a spinning roller for stretching and spinning; feeding the stretched blend fiber into a solvent pool for washing and etching or high-temperature ablation; and drying, annealing and other treatments of the obtained PTFE porous fiber before collection. According to the process, continuous manufacturing of the PTFE fiber with the micro-nano porous structure is achieved, and in-situ modification is conducted on the fiber to avoid complex post-treatment steps. The process is flexible, the production is efficient and low-cost, and the product has adjustable fineness and length, lower density and good air permeability.

摘要: A double-knit fabric containing a first knit layer, a second knit layer, and a plurality of stuffer yarns. The stuffer yarns are located between the first knit layer and the second knit layer. The double-knit fabric contains a plurality of anchored regions and a plurality of detached regions. In the anchored regions, the first and second fabric layers are knitted together and in the detached regions the first and second fabric layers are unattached. The average peak distance between the first and second fabric layers in the detached regions is at least about 3 mm and the double-knit fabric has between about 10 and 30 detached regions per square inch. The anchored regions contain at least two knit stitches in at least one direction and the anchored regions have a width of at least about 1 mm.

The engineered shaped, lobed, channeled and deep grooved polymer fibers have indentations along the longitudinal side of the fibers. The deep grooved fibers have four to eight deep indentations along the longitudinal side of the fibers and containing grooves in the deepest portion of the indentation.

摘要: The present application relates to a functional fiber for adsorbing heavy metal and a method for producing the same, and the functional fiber for adsorbing heavy metal of the present application may have a structure in which thiolated metal nanoparticles are attached to a porous fiber, thereby minimizing the pore clogging of the porous fiber to remarkably improve the adsorption capacity of heavy metal materials, may be prepared by applying the dry technology without liquid impregnation, thereby minimizing the pore clogging of the porous fiber and fundamentally blocking the process wastewater generation, and is easy to implement the roll-to-roll system, so that continuous production is possible and thus productivity may be improved.

摘要: This document presents algae-derived antimicrobial fiber substrates, and a method of making the same. The fiber may be a synthetic fiber, but can also be formed as a cellulosic (e.g., cotton). In various implementations, an algae-derived antimicrobial fiber substrate can be made to have identical properties and characteristics of nylon-6 of nylon 6-6 polymer or the like, and yet contain antimicrobial, anti-viral, and/or flame retardant algal derived substances. Any of various species of red algae, brown algae, blue-green algae, and brown seaweed (marine microalgae and/or macroalgae) are known to contain a high level of sulfated polysaccharides with inherent antimicrobial, antiviral, and flame-retardant properties, and can be used as described herein. Additionally disclosed are algae-derived flexible foams, whether open-cell or closed-cell, with inherent antimicrobial, antiviral, and flame resistant properties. Further, a process of manufacturing is presented wherein the process may include one or more of the steps of: harvesting algae-biomass; sufficiently drying the algae biomass; blending the dried algae biomass with a carrier resin and various foaming ingredients; adding an algal-derived antimicrobial compound selected from various natural sulfated polysaccharides present in brown algae, red algae, and/or certain seaweeds (marine microalgae); and adding a sufficient quantity of dried algae biomass to the formulation to adequately create a fire resistant flexible foam material.

摘要: The object of the present invention is to provide a conductive porous material that has a large specific surface area, that is not easily damaged by pressure, and that can be applied to a variety of applications; a polymer electrolyte fuel cell, and a method of manufacturing a conductive porous material. The conductive porous material is one which is an aggregate of fibrous substances comprising first conductive materials, and second conductive materials that connect between the first conductive materials, and its specific surface area is 100 m2/g or more, and its thickness retention rate after pressing at 2 MPa is 60% or more. Such a conductive porous material can be manufactured by spinning a spinning solution containing a first conductive material and a carbonizable organic material to form a precursor fiber porous material in which precursor fibers are aggregated, and carbonizing the carbonizable organic material to convert it into a second conductive material.
