Abstract:
An ultraviolet (UV) footwear illuminator for footwear treatment is disclosed. In one embodiment, the UV footwear illuminator includes an insert adapted for placement in an article of footwear. At least one UV radiation source is located in the insert and is configured to emit UV radiation in the footwear through a transparent window region formed in the insert. A control unit is configured to control at least one predetermined UV radiation characteristics associated with the radiation emitted from each UV radiation source. A power supply is configured to power each UV radiation source and the control unit.
Abstract:
A sock piece is provided. The sock piece may include a flat sole base, a reversible sock and cooperating footwear. The sole base may have a plurality of fasteners. The plurality of fasteners may removably attach to a plurality of straps to form a sandal; removably attach to the cooperating footwear to form padded footwear; and removably attach to the reversible sock to form a sock configured to cover substantially all of the wearer's foot. The reversible sock may receive at least one additional sole base to modify the air circulation, odor control and/or padding as the wearer so desires.
Abstract:
In an insole (1) for the massage or orthopedic treatment of human feet (2) that is arranged in a shoe (3), it should be possible completely to remove the bacteria, fungus and fungal spores transferred to the insole without thereby impairing the shape or the functions of the insole (1). This is achieved in that the insole (1) consists of a thermoplastic elastomer material and that the material is heat-resistant to such an extent that insole can be sterilized using hot steam or pressurized hot steam.
Abstract:
An insole (10) is of the type equipped with a face (20) having projections (11-25), suitable for massaging the foot sole, and in particular certain sensitive points thereof, during motion such as walking and jogging. The projections (11-25) made on the insole (10) correspond to points of the foot connected to important parts of the human body in accordance with the general principles of foot sole reflexology. The insole (10) has at least one layer (30) of cushioned elastically yielding material and a thickness (S) set between 5 and 13 mm. The upper layer of the insole (10), or insole shaped, has a first face printed (20) with projections (11-25) towards the above and the second face printed with recesses corresponding to said projections (20″) and is associated to a second layer located underneath (30), preformed with projections (11′-25′) according to a same chart of the first face of the upper layer (20) and made preferentially of latex. In particular, the protrusions (11′-25′) of the second layer (30) engage with in the recesses of the first layer (20) that are made with sharp edge. A third resilient layer (40) allow transpiration can be located under the second layer (30), and made preferably of Poron® or of PPT, for cushioning elastically the insole (10) for a correct stimulating action on the foot sole. The projections (11-25) made on the insole (20) are stiff and resilient at the same time for massaging the foot sole of an individual who wears the shoe (60).
Abstract:
The present invention provides insoles for shoes in which the insoles each have an insole body with the surface thereof made of paper or nonwoven cloth, and onto the surface of this insole body is adhered a transparent or semitransparent synthetic resin sheet carrying designs such as pictures and characters on a rear surface thereof. With this configuration, the insoles become much more fashionable as compared to the conventional ones, are not mistaken for other's shoes even at a place where there are a number of pairs of shoes of the same type, allow a user to find his or her own pair of shoes at a glance, and give him or her the pleasure when wearing the same.
Abstract:
The present invention offers an antibacterial spraynulldistributing device for a human shoe. The device includes two parts: An antibacterial sourcenulla tank attached to the back outside a shoe and a body embodied inside a fiber, on the ground of a shoe, comprising a tube and a nullshowernull triggered to the front part of a foot. With pumping the tank several times a day an antibacterial spray is distributed through the tube and through the nullshowernull inside a shoe. Spray is used against odor causing bacteria discharged by foot and shoe during a day. It has not only masking but treating effect on foot and improves comfort in a human daily life.
Abstract:
An anti-microbial container for food items is formed from a polymeric resin which contains an anti-microbial agent. In one embodiment the container comprises an anti-microbial liner for a container which is utilized in receiving, storing, transporting, and displaying food items. In another embodiment the container comprises a plurality of cavities each for receiving a food item and an overlying transparent anti-microbial film for securing the food items in the containers. In yet another embodiment the container comprises a tube for receiving food items and having permanent or releaseable seals at the ends thereof.
Abstract:
A custom-formable shoe insert is disclosed that comprises (1) a conformable substrate layer, where at least a portion of the substrate layer is impregnated with a storage-stable, settable resin that set after exposure to an activator; and (2) an outer layer that is impervious to the settable resin but at least a portion of which is pervious to the activator.
Abstract:
An improved foot odor adsorbent is described having about 2.5% by weight of zinc oxide impregnated onto finely divided activated charcoal. Data is presented comparing the odor-reducing ability of the improved charcoal to conventional activated charcoal, zinc oxide powder, and standard latex foam that has been vulcanized with zinc oxide. Data is also presented showing the comparative odor-reducing ability of latex foam which incorporates various amounts of the improved activated charcoal and standard foam incorporating conventional activated charcoal.
Abstract:
An improved shoe insole having antibacterial and antifungal properties comprising a flexible polyurethane foam which is prepared from a reaction mixture incorporating an effective antibacterial and antifungal proportion of a pyridinethione compound.
