摘要: A composition includes a sugar source and inositol. The sugar source is one more sugars select from the group consisting of glucose, sucrose, sucrolose, tagatose, galactose, high fructose corn syrup, fructose, isoglucose, and rhamnose. The composition of sugar and inositol has an unique properties that prevents or limits the signaling of TNF-α and associated pro-inflammatory cytokines when metabolized by an individual consuming the composition. Accordingly, the composition can be advantageously used to control blood glucose levels, treat diabetes and related conditions as well as treat diseases based on an inflammatory response.

摘要: Non-dried allulose crystals are dried in a temperature treating step (b) in a drying apparatus at a temperature of about 25° C. to about 70° C., and in a conditioning step (c). The temperature treating step (b) may be carried out (b1) at atmospheric pressure and a residence time of about 5 minutes to about 5 hours. The temperature treating step (b) may be carried out (b2) under reduced pressure and constant temperature and a residence time from about 40 minutes to about 5 hours. The conditioning step (c) may be carried out (c1) over a period of about 30 minutes to 7 hours at a temperature from about 40° C. to about 70° C. The conditioning step (c) may be carried out (c2) over a period of about 15 minutes to about 90 hours at about 30 to about 60% relative humidity, and a temperature of about 25 to about 40° C.

Also disclosed are apparatuses for the continuous conversion of biomass comprising a pretreatment reactor and a hydrolysis reactor associated with said pretreatment reactor.

摘要: The present invention provides a method for efficiently producing monosaccharides, oligosaccharides, and furfurals from biomass. A biomass is hydrolyzed under conditions under which monosaccharides, oligosaccharides, and furfurals are produced while continuously supplying an aqueous suspension of the biomass from a supply port of a continuous primary hydrolysis device and moving the suspension through the device. A hydrolysis solution is continuously discharged from a discharge port of the continuous hydrolysis device, and a hydrolysis solution containing monosaccharides, oligosaccharides, and furfurals are extracted from an intermediate extraction port provided at any position between the supply port and the discharge port of the continuous primary hydrolysis device. The extracted hydrolysis solution is then subjected to secondary hydrolysis.
