摘要： A method of coating a component on a surface thereof includes applying an organic polyoxazole-containing polymer solution to the surface and, in a further step, drying the applied polymer solution to form a coating on the surface. A coating on a component, more particularly a corrosion-resistant coating, comprises a solution of an organic polyoxazole-containing polymer. The solution is applied to a surface of the component in order to coat the surface. The surface being coated may be metal.

摘要： A varnish comprising a ground substance consisting of a polymer or oligomer of 200 to 50′104 molecular weight or organic compound of 200 to 1000 molecular weight and a solvent containing a good solvent and a poor solvent whose boiling point (under 760 mmHg) is at least 20° C. lower than that of the good solvent, wherein the ground substance is dissolved in the solvent. Any thin film prepared from this varnish is substantially from generation of foreign matter, so that it can appropriately be used as thin films for electronic devices and those for use in other technical fields.

摘要： A coating for an article may be made by applying a powder of a polyhemiaminal (PHA) polymer material to the article in a particulate form and then converting the PHA polymer material to a polyhexahydrotriazine (PHT) polymer material and fusing the particles into a monolithic coating by applying heat to the particles. The method generally includes forming a dilute reaction mixture comprising a formaldehyde reactant, a solvent, a primary aromatic diamine, and heating the reaction mixture to a temperature of between about 20° C. and about 120° C. for a short time to form a polymer. A particulate solid is precipitated by adding an excess volume of a non-solvent to the mixture. The powder may be applied to an article and then heated to fuse the powder into a coating and convert the PHA to PHT.
