The sensor assembly is disposable in or proximate to an elevator lobby and is configured to deduce an intent of an individual in the elevator lobby to board one of one or more elevators and to issue a call signal in response to deducing the intent of the individual to board the one of the elevators. The controller is configured to receive the call signal issued by the sensor assembly and to assign one or more of the elevators to serve the call signal at the elevator lobby.

The passenger transport system comprises mobile devices carried by users, which mobile devices are configured to communicate wirelessly with the first interface, which communication is based on a short range transmission. The mobile devices are configured to be prompted by the first interface to transmit data regarding the parameter or parameter set of the correlated transport system component. The invention allows the customizing of a passenger system interaction with a user to individual user requirements.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for controlling a passenger transport system, which transport system comprises at least two passenger conveyors, as e.g. escalators or elevators, which transport system comprises a control for the passenger conveyors and for controlling passenger flow in the transport system. The control is connected to a passenger flow determination device for establishing a passenger flow reference value of the actual passenger flow to be expected in the passenger transport system, and which control further comprises a passenger guide system for controlling passenger flow in the transport system, which passenger guide system uses a cost function considering a set of system control parameters as passenger riding time, energy consumption, passenger waiting time, passenger transport capacity, maintenance demand, etc. The control uses a transport model simulating the function of the hardware components of the transport system under consideration of correlated system operating parameters as e.g. number of active passenger conveyors, passenger conveyor speed, still-stand times, door opening times etc. in connection with passenger flow,whereby the passenger flow reference value is input to the transport model and in an optimization process the system operating parameters are optimized under use of the transport model to meet the passenger flow reference value under consideration of at least one significant system control parameter from said set of system control parameters to achieve a best set of system operating parameters. The best set of system operating parameters is applied to the control of the passenger transport system.

摘要: An elevator car control system and method of operation determines occupancy weight based upon motor load. Information on motor load is collected during ascent and descent with loaded and unloaded elevator cars and used to create estimates of occupancy weight based for the full range of motor loads throughout travel within the hoistway. Once the estimates are available the approximate occupancy weight can be determined after each floor stop and appropriate action can be taken. One action is Load Bypass which prevents the elevator car from stopping to load more passengers until occupancy weight decreases. Another action is Nuisance Detection which clears all internal floor calls when occupancy weight indicates no passengers are present. Another action is Load Dispatch which prioritizes a floor for pickup based on demand.
