    摘要: A sheet conveying device includes: a supporter which support a sheet to be supplied or a discharged sheet. The supporter includes: a first cover pivotable between a closed position and an open position and capable of supporting the sheet when the first cover is located at the open position; and a second cover pivotable between a first position and a second position and constituting a portion of an exterior of the sheet conveying device with the first cover when the second cover is located at the first position. The second cover has a first end portion contactable with the first cover located at the closed position. The first end portion is kept in contact with the first cover throughout a period in which the second cover is pivoted from the first position to the second position.

    摘要: A processing apparatus of cards, etc., includes a stacker, which can lead a card overflowed from a main stacker automatically to an extension stacker. The apparatus includes a stacker provided by a main stacker, an extension stacker at the downstream side of the main stacker, and a switching mechanism for switching discharge of the card from the main stacker to the extension stacker. The switching mechanism includes a stopper to which a tip of the card overflowed from the main stacker is contacted and stopped, and a switching slope switching the discharged card from a main stacker discharging posture to an extension stacker discharging posture. When the card overflows from the main stacker, the card is contacted with the stopper and the switching slope is automatically switched to the extension stacker discharging posture, and the card next to the overflowed is discharged to the extension stacker with a correct order.

    摘要: In order to stack a larger number of sheets on trays by reducing a total thickness of the trays and enabling the trays to ascend and descend actually over long distances, a sheet stacking device includes an upper-tray and a lower-tray which are ascendible and descendible and on which sheets delivered from a delivery roller pair are stacked, a motor and a belt for allowing both the trays to ascend and descend, a clutch for disconnecting the upper-tray and the belt from each other, and a claw and a rack for stopping self-weight descent of the upper-tray when the clutch effects the disconnection. A clearance between the upper-tray under the disconnection by the clutch and in the stop of the self-weight descent by the claw engaged with the rack and the lower-tray connected to the belt is adjustable by ascent and descent of the lower-tray by the motor.

    摘要: A sheet stacking apparatus includes a door pivotable relative to an apparatus main body, a sheet stacking unit, on which sheets are stacked, provided in the door, and a load application unit. When the door is closed, the sheet stacking surface is tilted with one end side located higher than the other end side. When the door is opened, the sheet stacking surface is tilted with the one end side capable of being located lower than the other end side. The stopper portion prevents the sheets on the sheet stacking unit from falling when the door is opened. If the door is opened, the load application unit applies load to a pivot of the door before the sheet stacking surface becomes substantially horizontal.

    摘要: To easily replace a retard roller (that is a media separation roller) while minimizing the required installation space, a printer 1 has a first media conveyance path 12 that conveys sheet media; a second media conveyance path 29 that conveys media and can open and close; a media conveyance roller 17 and a retard roller 16 disposed opposite each other with the first media conveyance path 12 therebetween; and a roller installation unit 70 to which the retard roller 16 is installed removably from the second media conveyance path 29 side. The retard roller 16 can be easily replaced from the open second media conveyance path 29. Compared with a configuration having a dedicated opening, a smaller opening and space for replacing the media separation roller are required.
