    摘要: When a user opens an opening/closing portion for accessing an inside of a housing, a shaft member is displaced in a +Z direction by a biasing force of a spring, and moves a lever member in the +Z direction. A rotation shaft rotates in a +θ direction along with displacement of the shaft member in the +Z direction. As a result, a cam rotates in the +θ direction together with the rotation shaft, and presses, by a projection portion, a cam reception portion of an arm unit main body in a −X direction against the biasing force of the spring. Due to this, the cam rotates the arm unit main body in a −θ direction. Then, a driven roller moves the +Z direction along with rotation of the arm unit main body in the −θ direction, and is switched from a nip state to a non-nip state.

    摘要: A sheet conveying apparatus includes a conveying unit, a drive source, a drive transmission unit, a tensioner, and a moving member. The drive source drives the conveying unit to convey a sheet. The drive transmission unit includes a drive transmission belt and a rotatable member to engage with the drive transmission belt. The drive transmission unit transmits a driving force of the drive source to the conveying unit via the drive transmission belt and the rotatable member. The tensioner moves between a pressing position at which the drive transmission belt is pressed and a retracted position retracted from the pressing position. The moving member moves the tensioner from the pressing position toward the retracted position. The magnitude of tension exerted on the drive transmission belt is lower when the tensioner is at the retracted position than when the tensioner is at the pressing position.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus includes a casing, an upper cover, a lateral cover and a closing position holding mechanism which holds the lateral cover in a closing position. The closing position holding mechanism includes an engaging part provided in the upper cover and an engaged part provided in the lateral cover. When the upper cover is displaced from the opening position to the closing position in the state where the lateral cover is in the closing position, the engaging part is engaged with the engaged part from an outside on the lateral side of the casing. When the upper cover is displaced from the closing position to the opening position in the state where the lateral cover is in the closing position, the engagement of the engaging part with the engaged part is released as the upper cover is displaced.
