Abstract: A system for creating sets of cards is provided, and includes: a card supply means; a card moving system; a card collecting means to collect a set of cards, each card collecting means of the plurality of card collecting means being provided under the conveyor belt at different positions along the direction of movement of the conveyor belt; a card identifying means to identify the cards carried by the card moving system; and a controlling means to assign each of the identified cards carried by the card moving system to a card collecting means. For each card collecting means, a releasing means is positioned at the same position along the direction of movement of the conveyor belt, the controlling means being adapted to activate the releasing means positioned at the card collecting means when a card passes the card collecting means it is assigned to.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a sheet conveyance device; an image forming device including a sheet conveyance roller and a pressure roller; a memory; and a controller. The memory stores profile data indicating variation in conveyance amount in a circumferential direction due to eccentricity of the conveyance roller. The controller calculates, in intermittent conveyance processing, a correction value based on corresponding profile data for each of positions included in a width of an image to be formed in next image forming processing, the correction value being a difference between a predetermined conveyance amount and an actual conveyance amount; corrects a reference amount of rotation by a representative value of calculated correction values to calculate a corrected amount of rotation, the reference amount being an ideal amount of rotation of the conveyance roller that conveys a sheet by the predetermined conveyance amount; and rotates the conveyance roller by the corrected amount.

Abstract: There is provided a base machine including a base machine feed path that conveys a paper sheet, and a validator identifying the paper sheet conveyed by the base machine feed path; an expansion unit including an extension feed path extending from the base machine feed path, a branching feed path branching from the extension feed path, and a plurality of stacking portions that are connected to the branching feed path and stack the paper sheet identified by the validator; and a control portion that, when a conveyance abnormality occur, continues conveyance operation of at least one of the extension feed path and the branching feed path without immediately stopping the conveyance operation and conveys the paper sheet to a predetermined stacking portion that is any of the plurality of stacking portions, in accordance with a location where the conveyance abnormality occurred and a type of the conveyance abnormality.

Abstract: When a discharge count has exceeded a specified number of sheets, a sheet discharge device executes a process of moving down a discharge tray by a specified quantity and thereafter moving up the discharge tray until a top-surface detection part outputs a top-surface detection signal, while clocking a move-up time lasting from a move-up start of the discharge tray until output of the top-surface detection signal by the top-surface detection part. When the move-up time is equal to or less than a reference time, the sheet discharge device makes a next sheet discharged while the top-surface detection part outputs the top-surface detection signal; on the other hand, when the move-up time is more than the reference time, the sheet discharge device executes a correction process of moving down the discharge tray before making the next sheet discharged.

Abstract: A sheet sorting device according to an embodiment includes a transporting unit that transports a sheet. A reading unit generates an image of a surface of the sheet. A decoloring unit performs a decoloring processing to decolor an image on the sheet. The sheet sorting device includes a plurality of sheet stacking trays. A processor causes the reading unit to generate an image of the surface of the sheet after the decoloring unit performs the decoloring processing on the sheet. The processor determines a color of the sheet based on the generated image. The processor determines one sheet stacking tray out of the plurality of sheet stacking trays as a transport destination of the sheet, based on the determined color. The transporting unit transports the sheet to the determined sheet stacking tray.
