    摘要: A packing product is disclosed herein that includes pieces that each have a shape for absorbing impact. The shape can be an elbow-like shape, a v-shape, a u-shape, a helix shape, a tubular shape, an angled hollow tube, a coiled spiral, or some other shape configured to absorb impact in various versions. Each of the pieces can be formed by shaping a pulp comprising paper, sawdust, an antimicrobial agent, and water. The pieces are configured to maintain structure under pressure without snapping or breaking. The product can be used for packaging and shipping an item, then repurposed as a pet waste product, and finally for composting or recycling such as for use in gardening or lawn care.

    摘要: Thermally-stabilizing pellets are used in a contents container to stabilize the temperature at which temperature sensitive contents are stored in the container. The pellets provide a thermal buffer between the stored contents and the environment outside the contents container that retards the rate of temperature change of the stored contents. The stored contents do not experience the extremes in temperature variation within a passive or active thermally insulated container when at least partially buried in the pellets. The pellets can also help isolate the stored contents from phase change materials that could thermally damage the stored contents with physical contact.

    摘要: A system, and associated components and methodology, having a dunnage supply with an outlet through which one or more crumpled strips are supplied, a positioning device that positions in juxtaposition portions of the one or more strips of dunnage, and a stapler for connecting the juxtaposed portions to hold them together. In a particular system, the system includes a converter that has a conversion assembly that converts a sheet stock material into a crumpled strip of dunnage and has an outlet through which the strip of dunnage is emitted. The system also includes a coiler that rolls the strip of dunnage into a coil, and a stapler that secures the trailing end portion of the strip of dunnage to at least the next-innermost portion of the strip in the coil by inserting a staple through the trailing end portion and the juxtaposed portion of the coiled strip.
