摘要: A marine vessel lighting system and a method of operating the same. The marine vessel lighting system may include a marine vessel having a switch, a light device that is configured to be coupled to the marine vessel to electrically couple the light device to the switch, and a processor. The lighting system may be configured to operate such that upon the switch being actuated from an off state to an on state, the processor is configured to activate the light device in accordance with a first mode of operation. Furthermore, upon the switch being actuated from the on state to the off state, and then from the off state back to the on state prior to elapse of a predetermined period of time, the processor is configured to activate the light device in accordance with a second mode of operation that is different than the first mode of operation.

摘要: A watercraft accessory operable to be secured to the deck of a paddleboard and provide storage of a plurality of items. The watercraft accessory of the present invention includes a housing having a top, bottom and a plurality of wall integrally formed to create an interior volume. A first storage compartment and a second storage compartment are secured within the rear wall and are slidably mounted thereto. A third storage compartment is secured to a side wall and is configured to provide additional storage. At least one storage compartment is sealably secured within the housing and another is thermally isolated. The housing further includes navigation lights and a bow light secured thereto. An audio player is further provided and the housing includes integral mounts to facilitate securing to the deck of the paddleboard. An internally located power supply provides the necessary electrical power.

摘要: A stern light manually insertible into and removable from a powered socket such as for a boat, is shown and described. The stern light comprises a light transmissive elongated post with a plurality of point light sources. Each point light source is individually controllable as to on-off and as to color, either from local pushbuttons or from a portable wireless transmitter. The point light sources may be controlled by a programmable controller which responds to the local pushbuttons or to the portable wireless transmitter, and may illuminate according to various lighting sequences, such as constantly on and such as flashing.

The light-emitting area of the light-emitting device may be sealed from the ambient environment. In some embodiments, the housing may include at least one recess, port, or other opening configured to allow a liquid or gas to promote heat transfer from the light-emitting device. In some embodiments, a vehicle, a marine system, or other systems may include at least one lighting assembly as contemplated herein.

摘要: A system for illuminating a class of watersport boards. The system includes a light on the top of the board and a light-transmitting fin on the underside of the board. The board-top light and the light-transmitting fin are fastened together with fasteners that pass through the board. The board-top light contains a battery and energizes the light-transmitting fin through an energy-coupling. Electrically conductive paths and translucent channels are both discussed as energy couplings. An inductive charging connector is provided for charging the battery. Remaining service-time is reported to a user based on battery charge. Additional sensors, such as light sensors, and a microcontroller allow the unit to turn on automatically when ambient light falls below a programmed threshold.14

In particular, the wingsail may be configured to contain the solar panels used to power the other electrical components of the vessel, as well as other items that are conventionally situated on the exterior of the vessel, such as antennas, navigation lights, and so on. The surface of the wingsail may include transparent or translucent areas to provide light to the solar panels, as well as optical and electromagnetic reflective areas within the wingsail to enhance the performance of the solar panels and antennas. The wingsail may also include an internal light that illuminates the translucent areas of the wingsail for enhanced visibility to other vessels.
