摘要: A bicycle comprises a main frame defining a spring mount, a pivot mount, and a reinforcing strut substantially directly connecting the spring mount to the pivot mount. The reinforcing strut is asymmetrically positioned on one side of the central plane. A rear frame is movable relative to the main frame, a pivot link couples the main frame to the rear frame, and a spring assembly couples a portion of the pivot link to the main frame. The pivot link comprises a left link member, a right link member, and a link bridge connecting the left link member to the right link member. Preferably, the link bridge is positioned rearward of a seat tube on the main frame. The rear frame comprises a seatstay bridge connecting a left and right seatstays. The main frame can support a crank assembly having a chainring offset from the central plane on the same side as the reinforcing strut.

摘要: A shock absorber includes a first end and a second end that reciprocate relative to one another. The shock absorber includes a gas spring chamber, a damping chamber, and a floating piston. The first side of the floating piston is in fluid communication with the gas spring chamber. The second side of the floating piston is in fluid communication with the damping chamber. The gas in the gas spring chamber applies pressure against the floating piston, which applies pressure to the substantially incompressible fluid in the damping chamber. This pressure transfer may be adequate to minimize or prevent cavitation.

摘要: A flow path control device according to one embodiment includes a first valve, a unit main body and a control valve. The unit main body has an accommodation portion, a first radial communication hole and a side recess portion. The accommodation portion is recessed from a chamber accommodating the oil to cause the first valve to close the first radial communication hole. The side recess portion is recessed from the chamber so as to be continuous to the accommodation portion and not to be continuous to the first radial communication hole. The control valve is movable in the accommodation portion of the unit main body between a position at which a groove of the control valve communicates with the side recess portion and the first radial communication hole and a position at which the groove does not communicate with them.

摘要: An integrated and self-contained suspension assembly having a gas spring integrated with a shock absorber (damper) is described. The rigid gas cylinder of the air spring is divided into a first gas chamber and a second gas chamber. A flow port connects the first and second gas chambers, and can be manually opened or closed by valve and a simple one-quarter turn rotation of an external knob to instantly switch the gas spring between two different spring rates. The different spring rates are functions of the separate or combined volumes of the two. gas chambers. The integrated suspension assembly is compactly packaged and self-contained, i.e., does not require any externalities, such as gas sources or electricity, to operate.

摘要: A bicycle assembly can include a front or rear suspension system with a shock absorber. A front suspension system can be a suspension fork. A rear suspension system can include a rear shock absorber. The shock can have a shock body and a pressurized main air chamber within the shock body to act as an air spring. The shock can also have a valve configured to receive a pump for adding air to the main air chamber. A secondary air chamber and a control member can be used to reduce the pressure within the main air chamber by venting the secondary air chamber to the atmosphere.

摘要: A control mechanism of the adjustable seat post for a bicycle is fixed to the bottom end of the lower outer tube of the seat post. The control mechanism is managed by a controlling wire to drive a pin within the seat post to move axially to adjust the position of the seat post supporting the seat, so that the controlling wire will not move up and down with the seat post for seat height adjustments. Thus, the control mechanism will not generate a residual wire occurring in a prior art seat height adjusting device. It is because the controlling wire of the prior art device is disposed to the top end of the seat post. Therefore, the drawback of a prior art device can be ameliorated by arranging the control mechanism to the bottom end of the lower outer tube of the seat post.
