摘要: A method of forming a 3D mirror for a heads-up display (HUD) system includes providing a glass-based preform having a first major surface, a second major surface, and a minor surface connecting the first and second major surfaces, and further includes disposing the glass-based preform on a mold having a concave surface such that the first and second longitudinal side surfaces are adjacent to a longitudinal wall of a housing. The longitudinal wall extends from the concave surface to at least a height of the second major surface of the glass-based preform. The method further includes supplying a vacuum and conforming the second major surface to the concave surface of the mold using the vacuum. The first and second transverse side surfaces have a curved shape corresponding to a curve of the concave surface a remain coincident with the concave surface during the conforming of the second major surface.

摘要: A meter cluster assembly including a bezel and a meter cluster body for an instrument panel. The bezel includes a finished surface on an aspect, with at least one tab and a plurality of interspaced fins on an opposite aspect. The fins are of sufficient dimensions to, in part, provide the structural integrity necessary to reduce the profile of the finished surface. The fins and tabs allow for seating of the bezel within a trench of the meter cluster body, thus framing the instrument panel. The meter cluster body is generally a wall bounding a space configured to accommodate meters. The meter cluster body includes a lip at the front edge of the wall. The lip may provide a tactile feature and may provide indicia on a visible surface, aiding installation of a clip disposed on a hidden surface of the meter cluster body.

摘要: An operation device for a vehicle, includes a touch operational surface configured to be movable upward and downward, and to include a sensor to output a signal representing a contact of a finger; an outer frame member configured to be disposed around a circumference of the touch operational surface, in an aspect such that the outer frame member projects upward compared to the touch operational surface, or in an aspect such that the outer frame member extends on the same plane as the touch operational surface, and to be movable upward and downward together with the touch operational surface as a whole; a down movement detection unit configured to output a signal representing a down movement of the outer frame member; and a control unit configured to respond, based on the signal output by the sensor, to a selection operation performed on selection items shown on a display unit being remotely placed with respect to the touch operational surface, and to respond, based on the signal output by the down movement detection unit, to a determination operation performed on the selection item having been selected.

摘要: An integrated fastener for an instrument cluster assembly, where multiple integrated fasteners are used to connect the front cover of the assembly to the back cover. The instrument cluster assembly includes at least one fastener integrated into the back cover, a first recessed portion formed as part of the back cover, and a separation wall formed as part of the back cover in proximity to the first recessed portion. A first mounting aperture is formed as part of the separation wall, and the integrated fastener attached to the back cover and located in the first mounting aperture when the integrated fastener is in a first configuration. The integrated fastener is detached from the back cover and rotated such that the integrated fastener is placed in a second configuration, securing the front cover to the back cover.

摘要: Methods and systems for a configurable vehicle dash display are provided. Specifically, a configurable dash may comprise one or more displays that are capable of receiving input from a user. At least one of these displays may be configured to present a plurality of custom applications that, when manipulated by at least one user, are adapted to control and/or monitor functions associated with a vehicle and/or associated peripheral devices. It is anticipated that the function and appearance of the plurality of custom applications may be altered via user and/or processor input.

摘要: Methods and systems for communicating vehicle conditions based on vehicle component diagnostics and indications are provided. Specifically, various components of a vehicle may provide diagnostic information that can be collected and interpreted by a diagnostics module. The diagnostics module may determine to present the diagnostic information to a third party and/or vehicle occupant according to predetermined settings. Such diagnostic information may be presented in a conversational manner. Moreover, diagnostic information may be automatically evaluated in determining to provide course of action advice and other communications via the diagnostic module.

摘要: A HUD unit is provided at an upper portion of a meter unit such that a half mirror is positioned in front of a display surface of the meter unit and an upper face of the half mirror is capable of constituting a design face. A support bracket is attached to an instrument panel member supporting an instrument panel. A front end portion of the HUD unit is attached to the support bracket so as to be supported at the support bracket. Accordingly, manufacturing of two different models with or without the HUD unit can be facilitated, driving assist information can be displayed with as less changing of driver's eyes or focus of driver's eye as possible, and a mounting state of the HUD unit can be stabilized.

摘要: The presented invention is a low profile light bar tachometer display which includes a plurality of RGB LEDs or similar RGB color model light-emitting devices organized and arrayed in a segmented, flexible tachometer case that can be manipulated and contoured to conform to the top of the dash assembly of an automobile or any surface deemed suitable for the needs of the driver of an automobile. The lights provide a highly visible, illuminated, color changing display, so the driver can immediately assess the engine's RPM, power band, redline, or maximum torque from the change in light color or light position. The light array provides a repeatable, reliable and adjustable indication of the usable range of the engine's rpm, but does not indicate actual rpm.
