摘要: A vehicular display apparatus, when a host vehicle follows a preceding vehicle in front, displays a highlighting indication used to highlight the preceding vehicle over the preceding vehicle in a superimposing manner. The vehicular display apparatus includes a preceding vehicle detector that detects the preceding vehicle travelling in front of the host vehicle, a preceding vehicle distance calculator that calculates a distance between the preceding vehicle detected by the preceding vehicle detector and the host vehicle, a highlighting indication setter that sets the highlighting indication to be displayed over the preceding vehicle in a superimposing manner, and causes a highlight level of the highlighting indication to be higher when the distance between the preceding vehicle and the host vehicle calculated by the preceding vehicle distance calculator is long than when the distance is short, and a head-up display.

After a first operating action is carried out, a search function is activated in which at least a subset of the shown road users is individually marked on the display device in a sequence containing all road users. When a second operating action is carried out, or after a predetermined first period of time, the currently-marked road user is selected as the evaluation object for the function.

摘要: A display apparatus includes: a variable compression ratio mechanism which is capable of modifying an engine compression ratio of an internal combustion engine and a display displaying a state of a present engine compression ratio. For example, when a driving at an engine compression ratio with a good fuel economy is carried out, a display switching is not unnecessarily carried out even under a vehicular acceleration and the display can cause a driver to be recognized that the driving is carried out in a good fuel economy state. On the other hand, when the driving state is switched from the driving state of good fuel economy to that of a bad fuel economy due to an abrupt depression of an accelerator pedal, the display of the engine compression ratio is accordingly varied.

In some examples, the driving information includes speed, traffic, road condition, and/or environment condition information. Based on such driving information, a determination may be made with respect to presentation of a notification within the apparatus. For example, the notification may be determined not to be presented based on the driving information. In some examples, the determination may also include determining a format in which the notification will be presented within the transportation apparatus. In some examples, the format may include font size, color, type, blinking frequency, location on a dashboard screen and/or any other format information for presenting the notification within the transportation apparatus.

In a driving support device 10, an image output unit 14a outputs, to a display unit 31, an image containing an own vehicle object representing an own vehicle and a plurality of traffic lanes. An operation signal input unit 14b receives an operation of a user for moving the own vehicle object in the image displayed on the display unit 31 from a first traffic lane to a second traffic lane. A command output unit 14c outputs, to an automatic driving control unit 20 that controls automatic driving, a command for instructing the change of a traveling traffic lane of the own vehicle from the first traffic lane to the second traffic lane when the operation is received.

摘要: An input to increase or decrease a system setting in a vehicle interior is received, and the setting is adjusted. In one example, an in-vehicle ambient light color is controlled during the adjusting so an ambient light changes from a primary color setting to a first feedback color during setting increase and to a second feedback color during setting decrease; and the ambient light color is returned to the primary color setting at a time after completing the adjusting. In another example, the ambient light color is controlled during the adjusting so the ambient light transitions from a then-current color setting towards a first feedback color during setting increase and towards a second feedback color during setting decrease; and upon reaching an increased or decreased setting value, the ambient light remains at a new then-current color until another setting input is received or until the ambient light is turned off.

摘要: An instrument cluster system for a vehicle includes a speedometer gauge having markings indicative of speeds of the vehicle, a pointer, and a speed warning indicator including adjacent lights arranged in position to correlate with the markings. A control unit receives inputs including a speed of the vehicle. GPS provides a location of the vehicle so that the control unit can obtain a posted speed limit of a road on which the vehicle is located. The control unit sends processed data to the cluster so that the cluster can control the lights based on the posted speed limit, such that lights correlating with speeds below the posted speed limit can be illuminated green and lights correlating with speeds above the posted speed limit can be illuminated red, thereby providing a visual warning to a driver as to whether the vehicle is operating above or below the posted speed limit.
