摘要: A method of making a fluidic device is provided. The method includes locating a meltable sheet material on a face of an extruded body including extended cells therein. At least some of the cells are interconnected by melting the sheet material such that the melted sheet material flows into the at least some of the cells to form a fluidic passage through the body defined within the at least some of the cells. The fluidic passageway may have a longitudinally serpentine path back and forth along the at least some of the cells.

摘要: The present disclosure provides a system for cutting a wet green ceramic article. The system includes a power device to generate power and a transmission assembly including an input and an output. The input is operably coupled to the power device such that power is transferred through the transmission assembly from the input to the output. The system also includes a cutting tool holder that holds a cutting tool. The cutting tool holder is coupled to the output and pivotally coupled to a pivot point. The output of the transmission assembly pivots the cutting tool holder about the pivot point as the cutting tool reciprocates in a cutting motion between a first position and a second position.

摘要: Methods and apparatuses for producing fiber-cement soffit building products. In one embodiment of the invention, an apparatus for producing fiber-cement soffits includes a punch assembly, a support assembly facing at least a portion of the punch assembly, and an actuator operatively coupled to at least one of the punch assembly or the support assembly. The punch assembly can include a punch plate and a plurality of punches coupled to the punch plate. Each punch can have a length and a first cross-sectional dimension generally normal to the length. The support assembly can have a support plate, and at least a portion of the support plate is juxtaposed to at least a portion of the punch plate. The support plate can include a plurality of holes arranged in a pattern so that each hole in the portion of the support plate juxtaposed to the punch plate is aligned with a corresponding punch on the punch plate. Each hole can have a second cross-sectional dimension greater than the first cross-sectional dimension of the punches to define a radial punch/hole clearance between each punch and each hole. The radial punch/hole clearance, for example, is generally greater than that of metal punch presses to allow the punches to be removed from a fiber-cement panel without delaminating portions of the panel.

摘要: A system for processing materials includes handling and cutting stations positioned at appropriate positions along first and second conveying portions. A crust cutting station is positioned along the first conveyor portion. A crust removal station is positioned to span across the first and second conveying portions. Similarly, a stacking station is also positioned to span across the first and second conveying portions. Further, a first (vertical) cross cutting station is position along the second conveyor portion. Similarly, a second (horizontal) cross cutting station is located along the second conveyor portion. The process of using the disclosed system eliminates the need for specially designed stacking frames or trays and support rods, and improves cutting capacity and reduces processing time by only stacking the materials to be processed once, without de-stacking and restacking steps.
