    摘要: The present invention relates to a method and a device in the chip-removing machining of a work-piece by means of a rotatable tool with a shaft arranged in a headstock. The tool is displaceable in an axial direction both towards and away from the work-piece, and in a plane substantially perpendicular to the arbor. Arranged around a machining point is an enclosure. The enclosure has a first opening that is designed to press tightly against the work-piece around the point to be or being machined. A second opening in the enclosure is made in a wall substantially perpendicular to the shaft. This opening is designed, during machining, to press tightly against a plane plate arranged behind the tool and around the headstock, substantially perpendicular to the arbor, so that during machining there is a substantially enclosed space in the area around the tool and the machining point. The device includes means of delivering cutting fluid to the machining point. The enclosure can be provided with an outlet opening through which chips that are removed are evacuated from the enclosure by means of the delivered cutting fluid.

    摘要: A saw guard, especially for preventing splinters and the like for being thrown out from a saw, in which a flexible, strong, wear resistant material, such as belting, is cut into strips and the strips are connected to a housing which covers the saw from above so that a row of strips in side by side relation are in front of the saw while a row of strips arranged in parallel spaced aligned relation extend along at least one side of the saw. The strips along the side of the saw and being spaced apart permit free circulation of air through the sawing region to remove sawdust and the like therefrom but are effective in stopping splinters and the like from being thrown off from the saw because the arrangement of the strips are in parallel spaced relation.

    摘要: An apparatus (10) and method is disclosed for recovering a cleaning material (12) and a surface material (20A) with a vacuum source (25). The surface material (20A) is removed from a surface (20) by projecting the cleaning material (12) such as sand, water or the like from a nozzle (14) to impact upon the surface (20). The apparatus (10) comprises a housing (16) having a housing opening (18) for projecting the cleaning material (12) through the housing opening (18) onto the surface (20). A fluid seal means (30) provides a seal between the housing (16) and the surface (20). The vacuum source (25) is connected to the housing (16) for withdrawing the impacted cleaning material (12A) and the surface material (20A) removed from the surface (20).
