    摘要: A mixed-fluid delivery device includes a piezoelectric pump that includes a piezoelectric vibrator having a piezoelectric element and a vibrating plate and a pump cabinet and discharges a fluid, and a case body including a pump housing chamber, a liquid reservoir portion, a mixing portion that generates a mixed fluid, a nozzle portion through which the gas discharged from the piezoelectric pump is ejected to the mixing portion, and a conducting portion that conducts a liquid toward the mixing portion. The case body has a reflux path through which a residual liquid that remains in the mixing portion without being delivered to the outside is returned to the liquid reservoir portion. The reflux path is provided so as to be in contact with at least a portion of the pump cabinet.

    摘要: An aerosol delivery system has an aerosol generator with a vibrating aperture plate (10) and an actuator (11, 16, 17, 19), a controller (18, 19). The controller in real time monitors (201) the aerosol generator as it is driven for vibration of the aperture plate, and detects (202) a change in an electrical characteristic in response to a transition from a wet state to a dry state of the aperture plate. It automatically modifies (203, 205, 206), during the transition, operation of the aerosol generator in response to the detected change. The modification includes reducing applied power (203). The controller continues (204) to monitor during the transition, including monitoring the aperture plate for presence of residual liquid on the aperture plate first surface. The controller monitors at a number of drive frequencies and maintains data representing trends in a combination of the electrical characteristic signals at the different frequencies, and identifies a start of a transition if a calculated value rises above a threshold. There is one threshold for triggering a check scan for residual volume and a higher threshold to trigger an immediate shut down.

    摘要: A fluid dispensing apparatus and liquid container with a fluid dispensing apparatus are provided. The fluid dispensing apparatus includes a valve body defining a bore that extends at least partially through a valve body, and an adaptor including a piercing member positioned to pierce a pierceable membrane enclosing the liquid container. The adaptor also includes a releasable fastener that cooperates with a portion of the liquid container to releasably couple the valve body to the liquid container. A liquid droplet production apparatus of the fluid dispensing apparatus controls a discharge of the liquid from the liquid container. The liquid droplet production apparatus includes a perforate membrane, and an actuator that is selectively operable to vibrate the perforate membrane and cause liquid droplets to be emitted from the perforate membrane and projected generally away from the liquid container.
