摘要: A method for mixing fluids in containers may include performing a mixing procedure on a plurality of containers on a container support, at least a portion of the plurality of containers being differently sized. The mixing procedure may include a plurality of mixing phases, wherein in each mixing phase the container support may be subjected to a mixing motion at a single rate for a period of time of about 5 seconds or longer, and wherein the single rate for at least one mixing phase of the plurality of mixing phases may differ from the single rate for at least one other mixing phase of the plurality of mixing phases. The mixing procedure also may include at least one non-mixing phase, wherein the container support may not be subjected to the mixing motion.

摘要: A method for enhancing mixing and aeration of a liquid reaction medium in a toroidal bioreactor vessel includes dispensing a liquid reaction medium into an interior of a toroidal bioreactor vessel, the interior being bounded by an inner surface, a textured surface being arranged on at least a portion of the inner surface, the textured surface having a plurality of upstanding protuberances. The toroidal bioreactor vessel is rotated in an orbital motion such that there is a resonant frequency traveling wave of the fluid orbiting in one direction in the interior of the toroidal bioreactor vessel when a particular orbital speed is imparted to the toroidal bioreactor vessel.

摘要: This application provides a method for controlling a planar drive system, where the planar drive system comprises at least a controller, a stator module having a stator surface, and a rotor that may is positionable and movable on the stator surface. The method comprises positioning an object on a rotor in a first arrangement state of the object in a positioning step, carrying out an accelerating movement of a defined movement pattern of the rotor; and, by the accelerating movement, arranging the object positioned on the rotor in the first arrangement state in a second arrangement state relative to the rotor, in an arranging step. The application further provides a planar drive system.

摘要: A clamping platform for a mechanical shaker, which allows automated release and fastening of microtiter plates that are subject to tolerances, includes at least two mounts arranged pairwise for the releasable fastening of the microtiter plates. The platform includes clamping jaws, on which a compression spring acts, actuatable with a link control having a linear drive. In conjunction with the compression spring, the geometry of the guide links allows compensation for the dimensional tolerances of the microtiter plates that are to be fixed by clamping. The spring force of the compression spring is determined such that the clamping jaws that are loaded by the compression spring exert the required clamping force in the deployed position onto the microtiter plates to be fixed.
