摘要: A multi-level sorting system may include a multi-level structure comprising: a plurality of chutes; a plurality of distribution floors, to deliver items for distribution to any of a plurality of unique address bins, each of the distribution floors located at a different level and comprising a network of lanes for independently operating a plurality of transporter carts on the network of lanes. The network of lanes of each of the floors includes a feeding lane to transport the items for distribution to at least one loading lane; a plurality of automated inductors along said at least one loading lane, to pick one of the items and load that item onto one of the transport carts; and a plurality of unloading lanes with unique unloading positions arranged so that unique unloading positions that are located at different floors and that are assigned to a single unique address bin, are each substantially aligned with an inlet of a shared chute of the plurality of chutes.

摘要: Coordinated conveyors in an automated system. In an embodiment, the system comprises transport conveyor(s) and storage conveyors, wherein each storage conveyor comprises a plurality of segments configured to hold at least one item, and a portion that is aligned with a portion of a transport conveyor, such that items are moveable from the storage conveyor to the transport conveyor. Software module(s), executed by a processor, receive an instruction to collect item(s) at a single destination location, and, for each of the item(s), identify a segment on a storage conveyor on which the item is held, control that storage conveyor to align the segment with the transport conveyor, move the item from the segment onto the transport conveyor, control the transport conveyor to align the item with the destination location, and move the item from the transport conveyor to the destination location.

摘要: A diversion assembly for use with a feed material. The diversion assembly includes a plurality of movable gate chutes, a first conveyor, and a second conveyor. The plurality of movable gate chutes are each positionable in a retracted position and an extended position. The first conveyor is configured to carry, for each of any of the plurality of movable gate chutes in the retracted position, a first portion of the feed material to a first area. The second conveyor is configured to carry, for each of any of the plurality of movable gate chutes in the extended position, a second portion of the feed material to a second area. The second area is spaced apart from the first area.
