    摘要: A honeycomb structure includes a tubular bonded honeycomb segment assembly having a plurality of honeycomb segments and a bonding layer which bonds side surfaces of the plurality of honeycomb segments to each other; and a pair of electrode members disposed on a side surface of the bonded honeycomb segment assembly, a volume resistivity of each of the honeycomb segments is from 1 to 200 Ωcm, at least a part of the bonding layer is made of a bonding material having a conductivity, a volume resistivity of the bonding layer is from 2 to 2000 Ωcm, and each of the pair of electrode members is formed into a band-like shape extending in an extending direction of the cells of the bonded honeycomb segment assembly, and one electrode member is disposed on a side opposite to the other electrode member via a center of the bonded honeycomb segment assembly.

    摘要: A honeycomb structure has porous partition walls defining and forming a plurality of cells communicating between two end faces, and a circumferential wall formed integrally with the partition walls. The cells include partial cells positioned in an outermost circumferential portion of the honeycomb structure and being partially in contact with the circumferential wall, and normal cells other than the partial cells. As to the normal cells, a plugging portion is formed in one end portion of each normal cell, and as to the partial cells, in the partial cells in which the plugging portion to be formed in one end portion thereof, the plugging portion is not formed in at least a part of a partial cell in which an area ratio obtained by Equation (1) is smaller than 80%: the area ratio(%)=an area of the partial cell/an area of the normal cell×100  (1).

    摘要: A honeycomb structure includes a ceramic block including a plurality of honeycomb fired bodies, a first adhesive layer, and a second adhesive layer. The plurality of honeycomb fired bodies includes center-portion honeycomb fired bodies located at a center portion in a cross-section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction and peripheral honeycomb fired bodies surrounding the center-portion honeycomb fired bodies. The first adhesive layer is interposed between the center-portion honeycomb fired bodies to connect the center-portion honeycomb fired bodies. The second adhesive layer is interposed between each of the center-portion honeycomb fired bodies and each of the peripheral honeycomb fired bodies and between the peripheral honeycomb fired bodies. An adhesive strength α between the center-portion honeycomb fired bodies bonded via the first adhesive layer is higher than an adhesive strength β between honeycomb fired bodies bonded via the second adhesive layer.

    摘要: A honeycomb structure comprising a plurality of columnar honeycomb segments in which two kinds of plural through-holes different in end face area are formed side by side by being surrounded by partition walls, each honeycomb segment having, at one end face, an inlet side of high opening ratio, wherein through-holes of smaller end face area are plugged and, at other end face, an outlet side of low opening ratio, and wherein through-holes of larger end face area are plugged, the plurality of honeycomb segments being bonded to each other via a bonding material in the longitudinal direction of each honeycomb segment. The Young's modulus of the bonding material when sintered is smaller than that of each honeycomb segment when sintered, and the bonded width of the bonding material is larger at the outlet side of honeycomb structure than at the inlet side is presented.
