摘要: An emergency or medical package comprising has: a body; attachment fittings, for attachment to complementary fittings of a UAV; and a plurality of compartments for housing medical or emergency supplies, including a compartment for a headset, providing two-way communication between a user of a headset and a person remote from the package, wherein the headset includes at least one camera, providing a video feed, that is sent to a remote person. A method of delivering these supplies and providing control over the use of the supplies provides two-way audio and visual communication between a remote person and the user wearing the headset, whereby the remote person can provide instructions and directions to the user. A method of planning a route for the delivery of a medical or emergency package by UAV, and a method for providing for a delivery of a priority package are also provided.

摘要: A wearable cardiac defibrillator (“WCD”) system may include a support structure that a patient can wear, an energy storage module that can store an electrical charge, and a discharge circuit that can discharge the electrical charge through the patient so as to shock him or her, while the patient is wearing the support structure. Embodiments may actively take into account bystanders, both to protect them from an inadvertent shock, and also to enlist their help. In some embodiments the WCD system includes a speaker system that transmits a sound designed to assist a bystander to perform CPR. Optionally CPR chest compressions received by the patient can be further detected, and feedback can be given. In embodiments, a WCD system may include a user interface that can be controlled to output CPR prompts tailored to a skill level of the bystander.

摘要: Implantable medical device including a pulsed-voltage generator and one or more implantable electrical leads. In one example, the implantable medical device supports the defibrillator and ablation modalities characterized by different respective sets of waveform parameters, such as the pulse amplitude and width. In some examples, the implantable medical device also supports a pacing modality. The electrodes used for the different modalities are variously selected from a plurality of electrodes located in distal portions of the implantable electrical leads and on the exterior surface of the implantable device box. An electronic controller of the implantable medical device is wirelessly programmable to appropriately control, e.g., in a patient-specific manner, operations of the pulsed-voltage generator and transitions between different modalities. Various examples of the disclosed implantable medical device can beneficially be used to provide to a cardiac patient a greater variety of treatment options without having to replace the implantable medical device.

摘要: An intracardiac defibrillation catheter system includes a defibrillation catheter, a power supply device, and an electrocardiograph, in which an arithmetic processing unit of the power supply device sequentially senses an event estimated to be an R wave from an electrocardiogram input from the electrocardiograph, calculates a heart rate each time sensing is performed, and, when, after an event (Vn) is sensed and after an application execution switch is input, an event (Vn+m) is sensed, performs arithmetic processing so that a DC voltage is applied in synchronization with the event (Vn+m) only in a case where the event (Vn+m) is sensed after a lapse of a refractory period whose length corresponds to 50% of a reciprocal of a heart rate (An) at a sensing time point of the event (Vn), to control a DC power supply unit. The defibrillation catheter system can reliably avoid performing defibrillation in synchronization with a T wave without being affected by the level of the heart rate of a patient.

摘要: An electrode assembly that includes an electrically conductive layer, a first impedance reduction system, and a second impedance reduction system. The electrically conductive layer forms an electrode portion of the electrode assembly and a first surface to be placed adjacent a person's skin. The first impedance reduction system is configured to dispense a first amount of an electrically conductive gel onto the first surface of the electrically conductive layer in response to a first activation signal. The second impedance reduction system is configured to dispense a second amount of the electrically conductive gel onto the first surface of the electrically conductive layer in response to a second activation signal.
