摘要: Systems and methods for integrating a continuous glucose sensor, including a receiver, a medicament delivery device, and optionally a single point glucose monitor are provided. Manual integrations provide for a physical association between the devices wherein a user (for example, patient or doctor) manually selects the amount, type, and/or time of delivery. Semi-automated integration of the devices includes integrations wherein an operable connection between the integrated components aids the user (for example, patient or doctor) in selecting, inputting, calculating, or validating the amount, type, or time of medicament delivery of glucose values, for example, by transmitting data to another component and thereby reducing the amount of user input required. Automated integration between the devices includes integrations wherein an operable connection between the integrated components provides for full control of the system without required user interaction.

摘要: A droplet delivery device includes a housing with a mouthpiece port or outlet from a nasal device for releasing fluid droplets, a fluid reservoir, and an ejector bracket having a membrane positioned between a mesh with a plurality of openings and a vibrating member that is coupled to an electronic transducer, such as an ultrasonic transducer. The transducer vibrates the vibrating member which causes the membrane to push fluid supplied by the reservoir through the mesh to generate droplets in an ejected stream released through the outlet.

摘要: An atomizer is provided. The atomizer includes a battery rod, including a rod body, a battery, and a first electrical connection part arranged on the rod body and exposed from the rod body, wherein an end of the rod body is disposed with a receiving part, and the first electrical connection part is located in the receiving part, an atomizing head, including a housing and a second electrical connection part arranged on the housing and exposed from the housing, and a mechanical switch, arranged on the rod body and exposed outside the rod body, wherein the mechanical switch is electrically connected between the battery and the first electrical connection part, and configured to turn on or turn off an electrical connection between the battery and the first electrical connection part; wherein the first electrical connection part is in contact with the second electrical connection part when the atomizing head is inserted into the receiving part, the electrical connection between the battery and the first electrical connection part is turned on when the atomizing head is inserted into the receiving part and the mechanical switch is triggered, and thereby an electrical connection between the first electrical connection part and the second electrical connection part is turned on to supply a power to the atomizing head through the battery. Using the mechanical switch to control the battery rod whether supply a power to the atomizing head or not can ensure the effectiveness of triggering power supply for a long time.

摘要: The invention provides a method of testing an inhaler based on performing an optical analysis of a dry powder medicament plume discharged from the inhaler upon actuation. More particularly, embodiments of the invention comprise illuminating the dry powder plume with a source of electromagnetic radiation and capturing one or more images of a pattern of radiation reflected or diffracted by the illuminated plume. The images are subsequently processed to determine and/or analyse one or more geometric and/or dynamic characteristics of the plume.

摘要: A personal vapor inhaling unit is disclosed. An electronic flameless vapor inhaler unit that may simulate a cigarette has a cavity that receives a cartridge in the distal end of the inhaler unit. The cartridge brings a substance to be vaporized in contact with a wick. When the unit is activated, and the user provides suction, the substance to be vaporized is drawn out of the cartridge, through the wick, and is atomized by the wick into a cavity containing a heating element. The heating element vaporizes the atomized substance. The vapors then continue to be pulled by the user through a mouthpiece and mouthpiece cover where they may be inhaled.

摘要: An inhalation device includes a light source that emits light, a light sensor that senses an intensity of the light emitted from the light source and a processor or circuit configured to perform a metering process. The metering process may include when a signal indicating that a puff has been detected by the puff detecting element: extracting a predetermined known flow rate that is stored in the memory in advance, determining an amount of vaporized substance that have been produced, and accumulating the determined amount of vaporized substance that has been produced in the memory as a total amount produced. The metering method may also include when the accumulated total amount produced reaches a predetermined threshold: (i) shut off the heating element or (ii) send a signal to an indicator that the predetermined threshold amount of the vaporized substance has been consumed.
