Abstract: A handheld system of automatic acupoint stimulation has a case, a camera unit, a storage unit, a human-machine-interface (HMI) unit, a processing unit, an acupoint recognizing unit, and an acupoint stimulating unit. The case has an accommodating space and a handle portion. The camera unit is to capture an image from a body part of a user. The storage unit is to store multiple predetermined acupoint data. The HMI unit is to receive an input signal. The processing unit searches for at least one predetermined acupoint datum that is corresponding to the input signal. The acupoint recognizing unit is to receive the at least one predetermined acupoint datum and obtain a reference length and a beginning basis to locate the acupoint. The acupoint stimulating unit is to stimulate the acupoint of the user located by the acupoint recognizing unit.

Abstract: A compression garment controller and a method for monitoring compliance of a user wearing a compression garment wrapped around a limb of the user in accordance with a compression therapy. The method comprising directing a flow of fluid from a pressurized fluid flow source to cyclically inflate and deflate an inflatable bladder of the compression garment; receiving pressure signals indicative of fluid pressure in the inflatable bladder from a pressure sensor communicatively coupled thereto during at least one of inflation and deflation of the inflatable bladder in a plurality of successive compression cycles; processing the received pressure signals to determine compliance or non-compliance with the compression therapy; causing at least one a light emitting diode (LED) to illuminate in a first color indicating compliance with the compression therapy; and causing the at least one LED to illuminate in a second color indicating non-compliance with the compression therapy.

Abstract: A rejuvenation and massage device is provided for treating mucosa tissue, such as vaginal tissue, affected by Vaginal Relaxation Syndrome (VRS) or other conditions, through vibration, thermal loading, and light emittance for a duration of time. In one embodiment, the device is an insertable device that includes Low-Level Laser Light (LLLT) therapy to treat the vaginal tissue. The light emittance by one or more light emitters is in a range sufficient to provide therapeutic effects through light radiation. To enhance the therapeutic effects of light radiation provided by the device, the device is configured to provide increased energy density into target tissue of vaginal muscles though a light configuration component (e.g., a focusing component, such as a concave lens assembly, a convex assembly, a pre-lensed light emitter or other focusing optical mechanism) associated with the light emitter that concentrates the light emitted from the light emitter.

Abstract: A portable system and method for training an alternate retinal location of a viewer's eye with impaired retina and an assistance system for improving vision of such viewer's eye are disclosed. The portable system for training comprises an eye tracking module to provide eye information of the viewer's eye and a virtual image display module to display a virtual image centered at the alternate retinal location on the viewer's impaired retina other than centered at a fovea. The virtual image display module further comprises a first light signal generator to generate multiple first light signals and a first combiner to redirect the multiple first light signals towards the alternate retinal location, when a pupil of the viewer's eye is located approximately at the center of the viewer's eye.
