摘要： A medical device for interacting with a patient's cervix is provided. The device includes a grasper configured to allow gripping and compression of a patient's cervix when disposed proximate a patient's cervix and an elongate catheter comprising a distal portion that is selectively releasably connectable to the grasper. The grasper is adapted to interact with at least a portion of a patient's cervix when deployed, and a flexible member that extends from a first end portion of the grasper, with a proximal end portion retained by the grasper and an opposite distal end portion extending away from the grasper to a distal tip.

摘要： This application presents a bifurcated, optimally-angled surgical forceps. In one example, this surgical forceps may enable a more natural maneuver for initial clamping of the vas deferens through the scrotal skin. This may be more comfortable for users and easier to maintain, and may provide greater tactile surface contact between the thumb and vas deferens. This device also may provide the surgeon with an entire segment of vas deferens upon which the vasectomy may be performed, thus reducing the need for frequent repositioning of instruments. The device may also be applied to other surgical procedures that may benefit from the features of the device and where a section of a tubular anatomical structure may need clamping at two points along its length. Examples include blood and lymphatic vessels, ducts of the digestive system, and large nerves or nerve bundles.

摘要： A system for tubular ligation is disclosed. The system may include an anchor designed to advance into a channel and engage the walls of the channel. The anchor may have mechanisms that allow it to securely attach to walls of the channel and pull the channel. The system may also include a body for placement adjacent to the channel to align the anchor with the channel. The anchor and body may be arranged so that subsequent retreat of the anchor toward the body pulls and inverts a portion of the channel. The system may also include an occlusion mechanism for placement about the inverted portion of the channel to seal the channel. The occlusion mechanism may be configured to bias between an open state for placement on the body, and a compressed state for sealing the channel. A method for tubular ligation is also disclosed.

摘要： A surgical device for performing internal ligation of a fallopian tube or other tubular anatomical structure, by application of one or more ligating bands to a folded portion of the wall of the tubular structure. A method of using the device is also disclosed. The inventive method and device may be used for sterilization to prevent undesired pregnancies, or for other medical applications. One embodiment of the device includes an elongated tubular element that is inserted into the fallopian tube, a grasper that extends out of the tubular element, grasps the interior of the fallopian tube and retracts into the tubular element in a folded bundle of the fallopian tube tissue; and a pusher balloon for pushing a ligating band from the tip of the tubular element onto the tissue bundle. A fold assist mechanism may be included to help evert a section of a fallopian, or other, tube.
