Abstract: A cushion has at least one fluid chamber and at least one cushion conduit to enable fluid to be added to or removed from the at least one fluid chamber of the cushion. A management system for the cushion has a pressure sensor to measure a pressure of fluid in the at least one fluid chamber of the cushion and to transmit a sensor report with the measured pressure, a tube having a first end connecting to the cushion conduit, a second end leading to the pressure sensor, and a valve to enable fluid to be added to or removed from the at least one fluid chamber of the cushion through the cushion conduit and a processor to receive the sensor report, determine a pressure value of the at least one fluid chamber of the cushion based on the measured pressure in the sensor report, and generate a status indicative of the pressure value of the fluid chamber of the cushion.

Abstract: A modular orthopedic bracing system is provided. The orthopedic bracing system includes a walking boot configured to cover at least the plantar aspect of the user's foot, a support detachably connectable to the walking boot and configured to suspend the weight of the user and an ankle-foot orthosis (“AFO”) detachably connectable to the walking boot. Also disclosed is a method for supporting an injured lower extremity, which includes the steps of attaching a first support member to the patient's leg, providing a second support member for an area at or beneath the foot and posterior portion of the lower leg, providing a first upward force on the patient's leg with the first support member, providing a second upward force on the foot with the second support member. By adjusting the amounts of the first upward force and the second upward force, the foot and lower leg, supported by the AFO, may be fully suspended, partially suspended or rest completely on the foot bed of the walking boot.

Abstract: The invention relates to an anti-fatigue foot pad manufacturing method and an anti-fatigue foot pad. According to the anti-fatigue foot pad manufacturing method, a protective layer is formed in a cavity of a mold firstly, and then massage blocks and a foamed elastic body are fixed by the protective layer, so that the massage blocks are mounted and supported independently, and the technical defect that in the prior art, all massage blocks/protrusions have to be fixed to a hard support plate is overcome. The anti-fatigue foot pad is provided with a smooth and wearable protective layer, independent massage blocks and an elastic body and has a massage function achieved through hard massage protrusions which are supported and bounced independently.

Abstract: A device for treating carpal tunnel syndrome of a person's hand, which has a palmar aspect, with thenar and hypothenar regions, and a dorsal aspect opposite the palmar aspect. The cuff has a C-shaped profile in cross section, wherein two ends of the C-shaped profile of the cuff form the cuff opening. The cuff is formed from two or more cuff parts, wherein these cuff parts have a C-shaped profile in cross section and are connected to each other by means of a connection element to form the cuff. The cuff parts are preferably connected to each other, by means of the connection element, in a movable and/or pivotable and also releasable manner, such that the width of the cuff opening can be individually adapted for each patient. This results in simple, efficient and safe treatment and handling of the cuff according to the invention or of the device.
