摘要: The present disclosure is directed to a method of facilitating treatment via a vascular wall defining a vascular lumen containing an occlusion therein. The method may include providing an intravascular device having a distal portion and a longitudinal axis and inserting the intravascular device into the vascular lumen. The method may further include positioning the distal portion in the vascular wall, rotating the intravascular device about the longitudinal axis, and advancing the intravascular device within the vascular wall.

摘要: A system and method simultaneously measure retraction pressure and oximetry during surgical procedures. The system involves an optical sensor module that is integrated within a retractor. Real-time optical data from the sensor module is analyzed, via machine learning or other algorithms, to determine the pressure applied between the retractor and tissue. This real-time continuous monitoring of pressure is coupled with simultaneous reporting of perfusion-related metrics at the site, providing warnings to surgeons when tissue viability is being compromised by prolonged reduction in perfusion due to retraction.

摘要: A device for retracting or opening and closing a tissue wound employs two or more retractor arms that do not enter or penetrate into the wound or incision. The retractor arms engage the tissue on either side of the wound and apply outward or inward pressure on the tissue surface to open or close the wound.

摘要: A surgical hub is disclosed. The surgical hub includes a processor and a memory coupled to the processor. The memory stores instructions executable by the processor to receive first image data from a first image sensor, the first image data represents a first field of view, receive second image data from a second image sensor, wherein the second image data represents a second field of view, and display, on a display coupled to the processor, a first image rendered from the first image data corresponding to the first field of view and a second image rendered from the second image data corresponding to the second field of view.

摘要: A tissue-spreader assembly is configured to be selectively inserted into a patient having a first biological tissue and a second biological tissue, and to be maneuvered proximate to the second biological tissue. The tissue-spreader assembly is also configured to selectively engage, at least in part, an area of the second biological tissue without engaging the first biological tissue. The tissue-spreader assembly is also configured to selectively spread, at least in part, the area of the second biological tissue, and maintain the area of the second biological tissue in a spread-apart condition after the tissue-spreader assembly, in use, selectively engages, at least in part, the area of the second biological tissue.

摘要: A clamp for a surgical retractor system. The clamp has a tapered conically shaped washer against and through which clamping force is applied to place the clamp in a clamped position. The clamping force is applied by a cam head connected to a central shaft. A locking pin connects the cam head to the shaft. Apertures are provided in the clamp for receiving rod ends of a surgical retractor. Such apertures are circular and are positioned to be closer to the top and bottom edges of the clamp portion of the clamp than to the end edge of the clamp portion.

摘要: A unitary adhesive retractor is provided for supporting a patient's excess/redundant tissue to maintain the excess/redundant tissue away from an incision or other existing wound. The retractor defines a top-to-bottom length and a side-to-side width greater than one-half the top-to-bottom length, and comprises a stretchable, air-permeable fabric layer adherable directly to the excess/redundant tissue by means of a silicone gel adhesive which coats at least a substantial portion of a bottom surface of the fabric layer. When the retractor is placed in tension upon application of the retractor to a patient, due to the weight of the excess/redundant tissue, forces generated by the weight of the excess/redundant tissue are transferred through the gel adhesive to the fabric layer, such that the gel substantially protects the dermis of the patient from sheer forces generated by the weight of the excess/redundant tissue being evenly distributed to the dermis of the patient.

摘要: A retractor system and related methods for use in spinal surgery procedures, including but not limited to fusing or repairing damaged or deteriorated intervertebral discs or vertebral bodies in the lower lumbar levels. The retractor system includes a plurality of blade assemblies coupled to a handle assembly, wherein each of the blade assemblies may be independently adjusted (e.g. length blade and/or blade angulation and/or blade rotation relative to the handle assembly) to provide unprecedented customization of an operative corridor extending to the surgical target site of the patient such that any number of spinal surgery procedures may be undertaken by a surgeon, including but not limited to spinal fusion procedures at the L5-S1 disc space.
