    Abstract: Disclosed is an improved shoe cover with a bistable latch that allows for easy securing and removal of the shoe cover while providing a strong connection between the shoe and the shoe cover when in use. The shoe cover includes at least one bistable spring band at or around the toe, midsection, or heel of the cover for securing the cover to the shoe. In addition, a secondary attachment mechanism may be employed as well, which may include: a string-like material to encircle the shoe about its center, a semi-rigid structure on the inner-side of the cover; and/or an impressionable material located on or within the inner-side of the cover, so that it is directly exposed to the specialized shoe. The impressionable material will create a mold that is at least partially impermanent, permanent or semi-permanent.

    Abstract: The present invention is embodied in a new aerodynamic cover for a bicycle shoe and clipless bicycle pedal for improving speed when cycling. The aerodynamic cover comprises a main body including an ankle portion having a rear side, a heel portion connected to the ankle portion, and a sole portion connected to the heel portion and having an underside. An opening is formed in the sole portion for allowing a bicycle pedal to be engaged to the bicycle cleat. An outwardly extending fin stretches from the rear side of the ankle portion, around the heel portion, to the underside of the sole portion. In one embodiment, the aerodynamic cover further comprises a pedal layer, a cleat layer, and a base plate layer. A gap is defined between the pedal layer and the cleat layer. The gap inhibits excessive friction between the pedal layer and the cleat layer as the cleat is pivoted with respect to the pedal.

    Abstract: A kicking shoe attachment for use by the rider of a kick scooter having an elongated core with a flat upper surface with an upper sole thereupon, and an opposing curvilinear lower surface with a wear resistant lower sole disposed thereupon. Optionally a heel cup connected to a heel cup carrier plate is slidably supported in a heel cup carrier plate receiver. A latching mechanism allows securing the heel cup and carrier plate in a desired position along a major axis of the elongated core. The elongated core may be split apart horizontally and two or more springs, a block of a resilient material or a scissor jack mechanism may be placed between the portions. An opening may be placed in the upper surface of the elongated body to receive the protruding heel of typically a woman's heeled shoe or boot. A removable plug may fill the hole when unneeded.

    Abstract: An ice-skate instructional kit is provided and comprises at least one pair of slip-on covers and stickers having directional words, directional symbols, gender identifying words and exchangeable decorations thereon. The top surface of the slip-on cover is adapted to cover the toecap of an ice-skate and is preferably formed of a flexible plastic material that is writeable, erasable and is adapted to receive a plurality of stickers. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the slip-on cover is secured in place by placing a first confronting flap atop a second confronting flap and further securing the flaps in place by adhesive members attached thereon. In a second embodiment of the invention, small securing clips and large securing clips can be used to hold the slip-on covers in place.
