The upper has an opaque light refracting section. The illumination system has a power source and at least one light source. The at least one light source is electrically connected to the power source. A light wavelength of light emitted from the at least one light source is approximate to a light wavelength of light emitted through the opaque light refracting section. The upper is connected to the sole section. The at least one light source is connected to the translucent body. The translucent body is housed in between the liner and the opaque light refracting section.

    摘要： An improved sandal with several orthotic benefits is provided. The sandal has a unique combination of features that will be useful for the treatment and prevention of plantar fasciitis. The improved sandal has a medial split in the medial heel section of the sole. The medial split is designed so that it absorbs more energy than the other parts of the heel and promotes a lateral to medial rotation of the heel portion during the wearer's gait. In a preferred embodiment the sandal will include a rocker bottom sole and raised bed for the big toe that begins its rise at the metatarsophalangeal joint. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the sole of the sandal will also include a metatarsal bar that supports the transverse arch and an upward bend that that begins to rise from the sole at a point just forward of the end of the medial split and intersects with the metatarsal bar.

    摘要： A footwear with refractive internal illumination has a footwear, a translucent body and an illumination system. A translucent body refracts light at a first index, cavities refract light at a second index, the first index of light and the second index of light then reflect between the translucent body and at least one cylindrical elongated opaque strap, the at least one cylindrical elongated opaque strap then refracts the first index and second index of light to create twice refracted light, whereby the first index of twice refracted light internally illuminates the at least one cylindrical elongated opaque strap, and whereby the second index of twice refracted light appears as brighter points of light on the at least one cylindrical elongated opaque strap.
