    Abstract: A boot binding system for a splitboard that can include a latch pedal mechanism at an end of a baseplate on which the rider's boot rests. The latch pedal can have a dual function: either to attach each boot binding to a ride mode interface, or to attach each boot binding to a ski tour interface. In a “release position” the latch pedal is disengaged allowing the baseplate assembly to alternate between the ski tour interface and the ride mode interface. In a “lock position,” the rider depresses the latch pedal and locks the boot binding onto the selected interface. The latch pedal is held down by the rider's boot when in the lock position, contributing to the system's lightness and strength.

    Abstract: Provided is a snowboard binding in which a stopper function operates when a boot is removed and the stopper function is released when a boot is mounted, and a stopper device for a snowboard binding. The snowboard binding is provided with an urging body for rotatably urging a highback rearward, and configured so that when a lock lever of a lock mechanism is placed in an unlocked state by the rotational urging of the urging body, the highback automatically rotates rearward, and configured so that when the highback arrives at the rearward-rotation-limit position or near the rearward-rotation-limit position, a connecting cord of the lock mechanism is tensioned, the orientation in which the lock lever projects from the highback rear surface section is maintained, and the lock lever in this projecting orientation makes contact with the snow surface below a snowboard to bring about a slide-preventing effect.

    Abstract: A snowboard binding that eliminates the ratchet-type connection used in conventional snowboard bindings. Instead, the snowboard binding incorporates a connection mechanism that is somewhat similar to a ski-boot style connector, and that uses only two straps on each binding compared to the traditional four straps. In addition, the connection mechanism can be pre-adjusted by the user to the desired connection pressure. Once the desired pre-adjustment is reached, the user can simply step into the binding and connect the connection mechanism without needing to adjust the connection pressure or tightness during mounting the user's foot or boot to the board as with conventional snowboard bindings.

    Abstract: The invention relates to the systems for ensuring the safety of an individual, particularly in case of avalanche or other emergencies when snowboarding. The system for jettisoning a snowboard consists of a signaling device comprising a wireless transmitting module, a contact connected to an initiating lever, current source and equipment release modules. Each equipment release module which is arranged on a corresponding strap (rear strap, or on each of the straps) of the snowboard binding consists of the wireless receiving module, a replaceable pyrotechnic element and a current source. Each replaceable pyrotechnical element is an integral part of the strap (rear strap) of the snowboard binding, the latter constituting a plastic band which consists of two parts and is connected by a rod according to the swivel hinge principle.

    Abstract: An improved highback adjustment system for a splitboard boot binding. A captive strut is mounted on the spine of the highback, the strut having a forward lean adjustor block such that rotation or sliding of the block lengthens or shortens the strut. The combination provides a broadly adjustable range of forward lean bias in small increments and the block is readily disengaged and stowed on the highback when not needed. Advantageously, the mechanism that can be operated and adjusted without tools, even with gloved hands, a significant benefit in winter conditions, and does not jam with snow. Methods of use of the improved forward lean adjustor and highback are also disclosed.

    Abstract: The invention consist of a tool-less system applied for adjusting the wrist-strap and the toe-strap on snowboard bindings, where such tool-less system is made up with the combination of 3 elements, 1. It is tool-less so the attachment position of the binding strap can be unlocked from one position on the binding frame and locked into another position fairly easily with bare hands 2. It has a stable locking mechanism based on a profiled press-button/pin element fitting into at least one hole with profiled shape provided in the frame of the binding where also at least one hole provided in the strap(s) will fit in and be securely locked in when the button element is put in place 3. The press-button element is put in place from the inside and prevented from popping out during use also by the boot which blocks the only exit direction for the button element, which is inwards. The wrist-strap will further be prevented from popping out by the highback, which during riding covers the button element holding the wrist-strap in place. The toe-strap may further be prevented from popping out by the base-plate.

    Abstract: An exoskeleton (E) for connecting footwear to sporting equipment.
